| This has nothing to do with the fights, talent or anything like that. As most of you know im pro Strikeforce and hope they get "20 million viewers" like their biggest fan Dana White hopes for them.
but, does anybody else get annoyed with some of the useless crap they put on their shows? Like Frank Shamrock's keys to the fight? They show two skeletons fighting and they are saying Gilbert Melendez key to victory is to get Ishida in a triangle choke? WHAT? Then when the fight starts Frank says Melendez keys to victory is to avoid the ground unless he's on top and pound the shit out of Ishida. It just seems stupid and i feel like my intelligence is being insulted. I know they might want to do some MMA 101 for the casual fans but even then, it's kind of misleading to suggest Gilbert Melendez path to defeating Ishida starts on his back, or Mousasi best bet is to armbar Babalu. They should stop that, it's tacky and does not even make sense to the fights.
The other thing is start showing the undercard fights. There were people in Canada that actually had to pay $50 to watch less than 2 hours of fights.

| Elbows on the ground need to be added as well. And the entire production of the show is so bad compared to the UFC. Terrible commentary. And you're absolutely right about the keys to victory; they were almost always wrong and they were always pointless. This is why, no matter what, Strikeforce will always be 2nd best. They better hope to clean up their production for the CBS cards. | |

| Yeah I agree with u guys the broadcasting is far less than the UFC and I think they can do without every fighter getting a firework show lol. It should be for the mainevent fighters only. The matchups in the fights were good though and all in all I thought the show was ok. I do wonder who they will match with Fedor though. | |

| Their presentation is pretty good. Mike and Joe get utterly boring. The "keys to victory" that are actually pointless are no different than "Keys to victory" in NFL, NBA and all other pro sports that have little to do with the actual game. Doesn't bother me at all.
Chorky, stop whining. The commentary was fine. Gus Johnson and Mauro Renallo are good and Shamrock was the requisite pro-fighter that for many years the UFC also had.
I guess if the only MMA you cut your teeth on is Joe and Mike discussions about whatever at the Harley Prep Point then you can't appreciate more than one broadcast style, but for me it's important to keep things interesting.
Strikeforce's commentary and production was about as good as the UFC's. The only thing I thought was questionable was that assbabble with Hershel Walker.

| I prefer Strikeforce's production to the UFC's in some ways honestly. I am beyond sick of the gladiator, the music during the tale of the tape, "bring da pain, rippin ma into pieces grrrr!!!" and Mike Goldberg's growing senility.
I don't even like their color palette. I miss the old UFC. I miss Pride.

Really? The current broadcast team is why Strikeforce will always be 2nd best? I wasn't into the whole keys to victory thing either(which seems like more a platform for their graphics team then it is a keys to victory segment) but come on now. We really weren't listening much to the call, but in general I like Gus's broadcasting in all sports, Shamrock is OK, Im not a fan or Maurillo.

No, their production is why they'll always be second best. Even if they have cards filled to the brim with great fighters, it's awful to watch and hear. They just don't put on a very good presentation. I happen to believe that the UFC should update their presentation because I've seen it way too many times, but it is a very well done presentation. I do enjoy Joe Rogan's commentary during fights, because he knows so much. The Strikeforce guys just aren't nearly as knowledgeable about mma. Gus should stick to football and Maurillo should die. I actually didn't mind Shamrock, or Gus when he was calm, but when Gus starts yelling it hurts my ears.

Does the Knicks broadcast(hate the knicks but they always have the best broadcasters) and there is no one better in late game situations during March Madness. I liked Miletich too. I have no probs with the production at all. Granted we were drunk and weren't really listening, but I don't see it as a negative at all.

I guess I just like it when the announcers know more than I do, and that's usually the case with Joe and Mike. Hearing Strikeforce's commentary, I felt like I had a better grip on what was going on than they did. And the keys to victory were the most obvious points of that. If I was new to watching MMA, I would think that Melendez wanted to be on bottom to win that fight last night so he could get the triangle. WTF? That's just dumb. I like the idea of showing keys to victory, but they should at least be correct. And I've always thought that three people commentating is just too much. I hate it when the UFC does it, too.

| Well Chorky, luckily for you it's clear those announcers know ten to twenty times more about MMA than you ever will. | |

| I'm not a fan of Gus Johnson annoucing boxing or MMA. Everytime someone lands a halfway decent punch he starts going nuts acting like they just rocked the shit out of the other guy. Stick to announcing March Madness upsets Gus | |

| I'd take it over Joe and Mike screaming over eachother every time there is a dramatic knockout. Give Joe a kill switch for Mikes microphone or something. | |

| Well, the commentary is fine in my book. It's professional. I like Mike and Joe but they do get old, maybe because it's been so long.
"FIGHTER A IS ALL OVER FIGHTER B"
"HE'S HURT BAD MIKE, HE'S IN BIG TROUBLE, BIG BIG TROUBLE"
"IT IS ALLLLLL OVER!"
"WOW"
You can get all the commentary Mike and Joe recorded for the video game and play it during all the UFC shows and it might take me a minute to notice they arent really there. Im not putting Strikeforce ahead of them in that category, but Mike and Joe are definetly stale.
