Todd Duffee out, Gilbert Yvel in for UFC 121

A lingering knee injury has forced Todd Duffee (6-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) to withdraw from a planned fight with Jon Madsen (6-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at UFC 121, MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today confirmed.

In Duffee's place steps Gilbert Yvel (36-15-1 MMA, 0-2 UFC), according to multiple sources close to the event who said bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.

The Las Vegas Sun first reported the booking.

looks like jon madsen still has his hands full. Sooners do you know anything about madsen is his 6-0 record worth a fuck?

You don't remember him from TUF? I think he trains at Hughes-Lawler's gym. Schaub KO'd him on the show. He is short for a HW.

Sherdog and Wiki both list him as HIT Squad. I'm 99% sure they mentioned it on the show as well.

I wouldn't worry about it, King's oblivious to TUF fighters too.

Gilbert better work on his takedown D. Madsen is a good wrestler and he's strong enough to hold Gilbert down.

Yeah and no matter which gym he trains at with Hughes or Brock, the game plan will probably heavily rely on TDs.
