Belfort not fighting Sonnen in Nov.

So who do you guys think it is. My guess believe it or not would be Leben. Its a name fight for Vitor and gives him the chance to keep a float and after the title with no setbacks being a big favorite. Thoughts

Vitor Belfort will return in November, but he will not be fighting fellow middleweight contender Chael Sonnen, the Brazilian told Sherdog.com on Monday.

“I talked to Lorenzo (Fertitta) this week and will return in November,” Belfort said. “I just asked him to not be (on the November card in Germany). I'm tired of traveling. I would like to return to fighting here in America. According to my conversation with Lorenzo, my opponent will not be Sonnen, but another guy that will be decided soon.”

What about a Wanderlei rematch?

He has already been out for a little while. Wasn't sure if he would still be out past November? Not sure, but you would think Wandy would be on the short list. If not Sonnen, Wandy or Leben then who? Maybe Belcher will be healthy by then?

I hope it's not Leben or a Wandi rematch cause matching them together is a more interesting fight.

My guess is it wil be Okami or Marquardt.

Well Marquart is fighting Palhares so it is in no way a given he wins that fight, even if he does he probably won't have time to come back by November. Okami is an option. I think really your only options are Wandy, Leben, Okami and Belcher....assuming Sonnen is not an option.

Alan Belcher is going to be out for a long time because he's got a detached retina.

Yeah I wasn't real sure on the timeline for him or Wandy.

A detached retina is a serious injury for combat sports, Belcher probably won't be back until at least spring next year.

well then its between Okami and Leben and there was a leben rumor not too long ago.

I hope Okami fights Wanderlei when he gets back. Something about Wanderlei fighting the Asians makes my heart warm.

Just a sneaking suspicion. Hard to ever trust Vitor Belfort, especially after such a long lay off you know. We've already had discussions where you try to turn some passing opinion that I wouldn't bet on about some fighters I wouldn't bet about into a "OMG put ur money where ur mouth is" situation. No need to rehash it again.
