WEC 50 pre-salaries Empty
PostSubject: WEC 50 pre-salaries   WEC 50 pre-salaries EmptyWed Aug 18, 2010 2:06 pm

http://mmajunkie.com/news/20332/wec-50-pre-salaries-victory-could-earn-cruz-22k-payday-benavidez-35k.mma
The full list of disclosed paydays (show money/win money) includes:

MAIN CARD

•Champ Dominick Cruz ($11,000/$11,000) vs. Joseph Benavidez ($17,500/$17,500)
•Anthony Pettis ($6,000/$6,000) vs. Shane Roller ($16,000/$16,000)
•Chad Mendes ($5,500/$5,500) vs. Cub Swanson ($11,000/$10,000)
•Scott Jorgensen ($12,500/$12,500) vs. Brad Pickett ($5,000/$5,000)
•Zach Micklewright ($3,000/$3,000) vs. Bart Palaszewski ($8,000/$8,000)
PRELIMINARY CARD

•Mackens Semerzier ($4,000/$4,000) vs. Javier Vazquez ($8,000/$8,000)
•Maciej Jewtuszko ($3,000/$3,000) vs. Anthony Njokuani ($7,000/$7,000)
•Dave Jansen ($4,000/$4,000) vs. Ricardo Lamas ($7,000/$7,000)
•Bryan Caraway ($4,000/$4,000) vs. Fredson Paixao ($3,000/$3,000)
•Danny Castillo ($9,500/$9,500) vs. Dustin Poirier ($3,000/$3,000)
Now, the usual disclaimer: The figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter's income. They also do not include any other "locker room" or special bonuses that are not disclosed by the organization. They also do not include the WEC's traditional "fight night" bonuses, which will be announced at the event's conclusion.

In other words, the above salary figures are simply base salaries reported to the commission and do not reflect entire compensation packages for the event.

looks like they are slowly getting more money and same with the ufc looks like the up and comers on the ufc are getting 8k/8k which is a hell of a lot better than the 1,500 we were seeing. wonder when the next PPV will be for the wec.

I hope they don't have any more PPV. What super stars do you have in the WEC now? No one has the hype that Faber and Torres has when they were on top. How many times can we watch Faber lose in the main event before his draw wears off? Honestly Faber vs Torres would probably still be the biggest draw they can get and that won't get half of what it could have a couple years ago. They better build some names before the think about anther PPV.

they are making a really good money. People need to quit thinking they are getting shit, when they aren't. I know some on this board are of the opinion th fighters who aren't even known should get somethin whacky like a 25K/25K deal, but this isn't the NFL.
