On further inspection of the image Arreola doesn't look that flabby, maybe it's added muscle.

I'm done with Arreola.

He doesn't get it. He has said recently now that he is training hard. Then he needs to train harder and get a nutritionist.

Boxing doesn't require a bodybuilding physique, but you should have relatively low bodyfat. Haye, Wlad, and Vitali are in good shape. If you are carrying 30 extra pounds of fat on your body, it isn't going to help you.

On boxing scene they say this is Arreola's third highest weight in his career.

Wlad's big ripped self comes in at 238-244 for every fight. At 6 ft 6 1/2.

Arreola claims to be 6 ft 4, but I honestly think he is about 6 ft 3. I remember when Arreola fought Damian Wills a little less than 4 years ago. He weighed 229. He was far from ripped at 229. It isn't added muscle. He's out of shape.

George Foreman fought in his mid 220s in the latter part of his first go round. He's pretty much the same height as Arreola.

I'd say you'd be correct on both. He's lazy and a moron. He should be in the 235-240 range at most.

i can see it now in 10 year he will be 280-300 area

Even if he added 5-6 pounds of muscle he still has 30 good pounds of excess fat.

Pre-fight promises of each fighter treating tomorrow night’s heavyweight clash as the most important of their respective careers apparently were not reflected on the scales for Chris Arreola and Manuel Quezada during their weigh-in on Thursday afternoon.

Arreola weighed in at 256 lb, the third heaviest of his career, while his former sparring partner Quezada tipped the scales at a fleshy 228 lb. for their ESPN2 Friday Night Fights main event, which airs live from the Citizens Business Bank Center in Ontario, California (Friday, 9PM ET/6PM local time).

Both fighters enter Friday’s bout coming off of a loss. Arreola (28-2, 25KO) was last seen dropping a majority decision to Tomasz Adamek in this very same arena this past April, dropping the Californian to 1-2 in his last three bouts. The other loss came in his lone bid at a major title, suffering a 10th round stoppage at the hands of Vitali Klitschko last September.

Quezada (29-5, 18KO) was riding a four-year, 18-fight win streak coming into 2010, albeit against modest competition. His run of good fortune came to an end this past April when dropped a split decision against journeyman Jason Gavern at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif., which played host to approximately half of his 34 pro fights.

The heavyweight bout is scheduled for 10 rounds. A minor title is at stake, but more importantly, both fighters face a must-win scenario if either wants to go on to become anything more than a punch line in the running joke that has become the heavyweight division as we know it in the 21st Century.

well from the pic he actually looks like he's shape. he said last week on espn he had a strenghtening coach so it might be muscle. what's everybody all bent out of shape for? we have to wait until tomm and see how he looks.

Its very simple. Go look at a picture of George Foreman in his prime. A guy who is taller than Arreola, weighing in the mid 220s.

Wlad weighs in 240, Vitali 250 and they are so much taller than Arreola.

A heavyweight doesn't need to be ripped with 4% bodyfat like Tim Bradley, but having bodyfat upwards of 20% like Arreola is horrible.
