| http://mmamania.com/2009/08/12/miguel-torres-if-im-going-to-lose-a-fight-thats-the-way-i-want-to-go-out/“Brian Bowles just woke up a sleeping giant … I pretty much coached myself and ran my own training camps. I hadn’t lost in a long time, but after this loss, it’s going to make me revamp everything. I just got off the phone with Mark Della Grotte and I’m working with a couple different coaches to make my game step up. (People) said I took too many punches after the fact, but you know what man? I talk to all of the referees before the fight and I let them know that’s the way I want to go out … I don’t want there to be a question of if I was okay still or still awake … I respect Rosenthal for doing that! People thought it might have been too much, but for me, it’s not enough. Every time I go out, I put my life on the line and if I’m going to lose a fight, that’s the way I want to go out. I want to go out! | |

| I think he's gonna have to change his gameplan, at least when fighting a guy like Bowles who has so much power. Honestly how is he gonna beat Bowles. Dude has a great chin, heavy heavy hands, real good grappling. Torres will have to be smart picking his shots, keeping his distance, not getting into a brawl with him, and hope to wear him out in the later rounds. | |

He had him hurt just b4 getting caught, if he's a bit more cautious in pursuit he def could have ended that fight himself. I don't think he needs to change much, just using his length a bit better.

It's not the size of the dog in a fight, it's the size of the fight within a dog. U don't think Torres is 5'9?

| Love these comments. He will beat Bowles on the feet in the rematch he just can't get into a brawl. As soon as Bowles hit him he threw all caution out the window. | |

| He doesn't have a reach advantage on Bowles, and Bowles is with a great camp with MTB to train with. ATT is finally living up to the hype.
This win wasn't a fluke. I won't say this win "exposed" Torres but it does prove that BW now has some real competition. Everyone Torres defended his title against had short arms and no power.
Torres has his work cut out for him. I imagine the next fight will be much more tactical since both guys were rocked in the first fight.
