http://www.cagepotato.com/bj-believes-edgars-cornermen-persuaded-judges-he-won-and-frankie-ran-him-whole-fight

Quote :

In a promo video for the August 28 show, Penn said that Edgar's corner helped persuade the judges that the New Jersey native won the fight and that Frankie did nothing but run from him for 25 minutes during their fight in Abu Dhabi at UFC 112 back in April.

"He's running around. Just step up and fight. And then I see his whole team run and pick him up. All your boys put you on their shoulders and dance you around in front of the judges and try to steal the victory. I'm not gonna be a part of that," Penn said. Whatever, man. That's the man you are. You're the "ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPION?" Okay. I got you. It's a joke."

Penn went on to criticize Edgar's skill set with a quote very similar to one delivered by Muhammad Ali in his prime.

"I'm not afraid to exchange with him in any way. I don't think he wants to exchange with me. He's going to be running around. He's just going to try to jazz up what he did last time. A little quicker, a little better, maybe throw in a little kick. His corner, they don't have much to work with. They've just got little Frankie Edgar. They don't have the knockout king or the submission king. They've just got Frankie Edgar."

You tell em Prodigy...he got robbed, plain and simple.

maybe the whole team persuading the judges thing if off...but BJ like the majority of the world outside of jersey and BJ haters are trying to figure out how they possibly gave that decision and Penn's belt to a fairly ordinary fighter.

watching it i had it 3-2 Edgar

Penn was lethargic that night

for everything Penn is saying he was equally as dull as Edgar even more so, everyone s argument for the "robbery" was Edgar didnt take the title

that aint a robbery

I'd like to know how his corner persuaded the judges. The cornermen cannot leave their seats except between rounds when they are attending to the fighter. The judges are all seperated from one another and from the cornermen so I'd really be interested in how Edgar's cornermen could have persuaded not 1 judge but all 3 judges.

As far as them running and picking him up after the final round. 4 rounds were already scored and turned in, no way to change those scores, and the final round scoring was being picked up by the ref once the fight is over. The judges don't watch to see what the fighters corner think happened in a fight. They write the score then turn it in. To think that they were influenced by that is really reaching.

BJ is trying, but failing, to replicate Sonnen's antics I think.

Reaching? That is fucking imaginary! That was a give me fight to BJ and he fucked up. All he had to do is go in there and perform like he did against Kenflo and Diego, have his hand raised in the 2nd or 3rd round, pick up his check and go back to fucking Hilo. Nope, not him. He came in unmotivated to do the job he is paid well to do.

Yawn so much for being classy in defeat, perhaps if BJ took Frankie down he might still be champion.

BJ couldn't handle the pace Frankie set and refused to adapt, his own arrogance lost him that fight. BJ assumed he'd catch and finish Frankie, his reluctance to take Frankie down was a gargantuan mistake.
