| I am now completely convinced he would win a decision. He would take Anderson down repeatedly and pass guard. He has better top control and sub defense than Sonnen so Silva would not be a threat from the bottom. | |

| I agree. I thought he would win before the Chael fight and now I know he would. | |

| I say he has no better chance imo. Chael is some what bigger and just as good a wrestler not too mention chaels striking seems to have improved some. Chael picked anderson apart a few times like no one else has done before. But it is easy to say that Chael, gsp, king mo, jake sheilds etc are near unstoppable with their control. | |

| The problem GSP may face is Anderson is so physically longer and larger that his smaller frame which makes him immune to the guard at WW may no longer be able to prevent himself from falling into the Spider's web. | |

| GSP would have some serious size issues Silva. I'd like to see it, but I wouldn't bet on GSP. Sonnen is a way better wrestler than GSP. | |

I would have to agree i just dont see gsp out wrestling Nate like sonnen did. Also taking in the size factor

| where as b4 I thought GSP stood little chance, I now see it as a compelling matchup.
And I know there is the "you can't each old dog's new tricks" theory in regard to Spider's take down defense, I think he can improve in that dept. Again the lack of comp, imo led him to disregard certain aspects of his game, but I think he may have learned a lesson.

there is defineately an anti-Spider sentiment out there that leads to alot of wrong picks.

Size is the main issue for GSP in this fight, until I actually see him control a top Middleweight I won't be convinced he's big enough for the task at hand. |

| respect the opinion just gotta disagree, I could see GSP winning dont get me wrong but i would go in picking Anderson
GSP as of late has been content to sit in half guard and stall lately I think if he does get Anderson down with ease he will make a mistake, but nothings outside the realm of possibility
I think GSP saying if he beat Anderson he would retire has officially scared Dana into never making that fight

| Sonnen and GSP are different in size and attitude, plus Sonnen has a pretty solid beard at Middleweight. |

| Dana White doesn't think GSP would win, not only that I don't even believe he believes it would be competitive. | |

| Dana should be thinking about the money it would generate and about how this mega fight would give his company alot of exposure.
It's not uncommon for champions to move up and challenge a current champion in a separate division, that's been happening for years in boxing. |

| Yes, based on his post fight statements ; - Quote :
- "I'm not crazy about the fight because Georges St-Pierre is a real 170-pounder. Anderson Silva is a freak who, he makes 85, but this guy could compete and I think do well at 205, so it's just a tough fight for me," White admitted.
"I think eventually it could happen, but there's still a long road," White said. "Georges St-Pierre has to beat (Josh) Koscheck, then beat (Jake) Shields, and a couple of these other (guys). He's still got a ways to go to clean out his division."
"If they keep knocking guys off, and enough people want to see it, then maybe we'll do it," White commented about the potential match-up.

| If Dana keeps on insisting on GSP having to clean out Welterweight before he'll consider a Silva fight then it's never going to happen. Silva is 35 years old and has started to show signs of his prime leaving him, Sonnen might even beat him in a rematch.
Has Dana ever heard of the phrase strike will the iron is hot ? |

| Dana thinks GSP's stock would decline in value after an Anderson KO. | |

| I think Dana remembers the first BJ vs Hughes fight and how it didnt go naywhere according to plan and led to the hottest fighter he had jumping ship
hearing GSP talk retirement would be like the same thing

| I've never really cared about seeing this fight anyway honestly. Maybe for GSP just because his division sucks and is almost void of challengers but not for Anderson | |

No risk no reward, nobody is going to think worse of GSP if he lost to Silva at Middleweight, he'll still be one of the greatest welterweights to have entered the octagon. |

| I kind of think this fight would look like Aldo vs. Brown or Faber. I think GSP could get Silva down, but I don't think he keeps him there and eats shots the whole night for it, giving up about four inches in height and reach. | |
