Besides machida which 205 can beat anderson silva

Anyone besides machida have a good shot? Forrest isnt to far removed from being the lhw champ and silva made him look like a child. For some reason my gut wants me to think rampage might have a shot, he seems like a big guy who could maybe push silva...I could be way off, what do you guys think?

Shogun would get hurt bad in under two minutes. Cane has the best chance truthfully.

I want to say cane also but he still has some to prove.

cane has the ability to throw and defend quickly, hits hard, and can mask what he's doing. all of these traits are essential to the geijitsu of Machida/Silva

I hope Bader is as promising as he looks too i think he can do some serious damage at 205.

Could Anderson land like that on Fedor?

I think if silva fought fedor(even though fedor is fast) I think silva could avoid fedors punches, the problem for silva is I dont think his strikes would put fedor down, dudes got a hard head. I think if/when fedor got him to the ground the size difference would make it one sided fast.

I think the question is could Fedor close the distance and toss Anderson with his Sambo then GnP his way to victory.

I think Hendo has the best shot int he UFC. He's already experienced Anderson, he shown he can win a round (that actually is a huge accomplishment), he's got the chin to take a few from Anderson (not get dropped 10x like Forrest did), and his wrestling is what gives him the edge no other 205 can offer.

Hendo or Page could work the proper style if they stuck to the right game plan. But either of them get crushed too.

I'd love to see him in a rematch with Hendo for the belt. Hendo's got the right gameplan. Take Silva off his feet and try to do some G'n'P. Silva is good at jiu jitsu, but his standup is his bread and butter. Take him off his feet and you stand a chance IMO

Plus Hendo has seen a legit BBJ guys in Palhares, Bustamante, & both Nogs so it's not like Anderson is going to sub him off his back.

Both would want to knock him out and that would prove to be their downfall. Agreed though with the right wrestling mindset/gameplan they could impose their will and make it a top/gnp game.

Machida, Rampage, Hendo, Rashad, and Shogun.

Not saying all of them would win by any means but I think they would all have a decent shot.

So you'd still pick Machida to beat Anderson at 205? I wouldn't. Nor would I pick Cane to beat Anderson at 205.

Shogun has a much better chance than I gave him credit for last August. His technique is great and his speed is unmatched. Cane looks a lot less promising now.
