| When Fitch said "the guard is dead" in reference to the lack of success for modern guard players, what he really meant was "the guard is dead once you figure out my expert stalling tactics beotches, try and sub me, I dare ya homie, as if I'd ever extend an arm to punch or something on the ground, psssst yo u trippin".
Chael and Fitch will both take you down and lay on you. One will try and beat your face to death, one will try to take your back occassionally but really likes to just hold position. One is exciting and does a lot of damage but is at great risk making a mistake having himself choked sleep, while the other is boring, does little damage but is at great risk of putting everyone else to sleep.

| Fitch would have won that fight though. I donno why more WW wrestlers aren't considering jumping up a class. | |

| For some reason, I really like watching Fitch. I really don't see him as not trying to finish guys, but he's fighting guys who are really hard to finish. | |

Yeah, true. Why do all the best top-control grapplers stick around in a division ruled by the king of top-control grappling? Fitch, Kos, and Hughes should all have moved up already to test the waters in the MW division.

| Stature wise he is a smaller WW, he would just need to go lean instead of his usual thick self. | |

he looks visably smaller than the past at 170. If he wanted to put the effort in I think he could make it but at what point is enough enough. IMO he would be an older wiser maynard.

I agree as well, Fitch hasn't improved that much as a fighter over the years. He has a formula that gets him the decision but he's not improving. He's as one dimensional as they come. Can't stand him. GSP will give him another beating if they ever meet again.
