| I keep seeing writers saying they're going to vote Gatti into the IBHOF.
Does he really deserve it any more than Ray Mancini?
I don't know the answer, that's why I'm asking.

| Gatti: Does he deserve it? No, he wasn't a hall of fame caliber fighter. He lost to all the elite fighters he faced. He was never the man in any weight division in which he fought.
Will writers vote him in because he was the all action fighter for the era? Unfortunately, yes.
I don't agree with it.

| Ray Mancini was a better fighter than Gatti. I don't think anyone who has seen them both on a consistent basis would disagree with that. | |

| Damnit now I've got Warren Zevon stuck in my head (not that its a bad thing)
Boom was better obviously. I love Arturo but he clearly isn't a HOFer

| Gatti never beat anyone as good as JL Ramirez like Mancini did. Gatti got destroyed by exceptional fighters, Mancini fought Arguello tough.
Both were quintessential warriors.
Mancini was the superior fighter, but neither should get serious HOF consideration in my view.
