I don't care who did what in the UFC. This all boils down to who I think would compete with Silva. Chael can't, Vitor can! Chael is getting a shot because nobody is available right now, not because he is the second best MW in the world. Chael Sonnen has fought Jeremy Horn 3 times and came out the loser each time. I respect Horn, but let's be real and accept that this fight is happening because the MW division is weak and the best guy isn't available.

probably a bit, but after seeing Munoz's takedown's get stuffed time and again vs Okami, a guy who got mauled by, and then trained with Sonnen, it doesn't look like a home run.

| Would get more from working off his back with Munoz probably, but working with any different wrestler should help some. | |

I thought about that as I was typing the question, still at least he's been preparing with a wrestler and not overlooking Sonnen like some have claimed. |

| After seeing Silva seemingly get tired after 2 rounds of dancing at 112 it will be interesting to see if he has gas tank issues if Sonnen can take him down and beat on him for most of the opening couple rounds | |

Good point. I thought Silva was a bit gassed in that fight, but I also think he was playing it safe also. That is the best chance Sonnen has is to tire Silva down. I just don't see him getting a chance to do that with the speed Silva has. I am with you as far as wanting Silva to get beat. Honestly I would love for you to be bumping this thread on Sunday and rubbing it in my face. It would be worth it. I would rather see Vitor beat Spider, but at the same time I am sick of all of the Brazillians taking titles down south.

| Silva's tank is fine, you forget the Maia fight was his first back at Middleweight after two trips to Light Heavyweight. |

| I highly doubt that makes any difference for him. He just got tired from dancing | |

Actually he fought Irvin, then both Cote and Leites before fighting Forrest. It was his first trip back to Middleweight after one fight at Light Heavyweight.
