Mine is easy, Robert Shaw on the USS INdianappolis, they say Shaw was drunk most of this movie and did not get along with Dryfuss at all, Shaws wife died of an overdose during the filiming of Jaws and they say he was drinking heavier than normal, they took 2 shoots for this scene, 1 was with Shaw absolutely plastered giving the speech, the other with him dead sober they fused the 2 and it was cinematic greatness
wahts yours?

because of this scene there will not ever be a hollywood movie on the indianapolis
why?
cause Quint told the whole story in 3 minutes in one of the best speeches ever on screen

That speech that Robert Shaw made was fused together by 3 different speech writers as well, the main one being John Milius. But your right. Fucking classic.

Just about any scene in this movie, far and away the greatest of his works, and that is saying a lot.

I think you got it in one. The Shaw scene is remarkable.
Second would be the beach scene in Private Ryan after the battle has ended. Dead bodies and dead fish together.
The other one that got me is when the sceintists first see the brontosauras in Jurassic Park.

Robert Shaw was one of the great actors of his time. He was marvelous in the Sting, played a fabulous Sherrif of Nottingham opposite Sean Connery in Robin and marion, was a wonderful psycho in both Pelham 1-2-3 and From Russia with Love, played the definitive Panzer commander in Battle of the Bulge. A reamrkable bad guy.

It's not his greatest but this scene from Raider's always brings a smile to my face.
