| If it was over there is a lot of unhappy fight fans. That was a very disappointing card. It looked great on paper but that card left a lot to be desired. JMM looked like he wanted to be doing something else. The main event was one of the most uninspired fights in recent memory. I didn't like this fight to begin with and expressed my discontent with it here. HBO seemed to be trying to force a Izzy Raffa type of thing and it didn't work. It opens a door to nothing. Nobody wants to see Marquez Khan at 140.
Jacobs was moved too fast just like Victor Ortiz was. It seems that Golden Boy doesn't believe in scouting opponents for their prospects. Didn't they learn not to match guys up with virtual unknowns from other countries. Golden boy has done great things for the careers of Maidana and now Pirog. I'm still high on Jacobs, this isn't the end for him. The division has a lot of holes in it but this is a major setback. I'm a very biased Brooklyn fan though.

| i'm in the minority i guess because i thought the fights were good. the ghost-casamayor fight was entertaining and so was the rematch. pirog shocked everybody and i thought linares made a good comeback fight. | |

| I bought it. JMM-Diaz was a good professional fight. Ghost-cvasamayor was desultory and I'm being kind. The Pirogi that ate up Jacobs i want to see again. Linares-Juarez was just bad.
But waddya gonna do? | |

| Under for sure. Other then the 2 big names nobody else really does big numbers. Except maybe a Cotto fight every now and then. | |

JMM fought his fight. Not sure what you're so sour about. He's not going to change his style simply because Diaz was trying to pull a 180 and attempt to box him.

| I am going to say over, on paper it was a good card plus it was a rematch to the fight of 2009 , and you should never underestimate the Latino fans passion for boxing. |

Katsides was available at 135 thats what I'm sour about. I knew that Marquez would blow out Tubby Bull. I called it. What fun is it knowing the outcome. Why the fuck does Rocky Juarez keep getting televised fights? Give me a fucking break. Last night sucked. The only good thing was the emergence of Pirog but that was to my dismay because Jacobs is my guy.

So what? At least it's a new opponent instead of a rematch with a guy he KO'd already and thoroughly outboxed after the fourth round the first time. A guy that lost his last fight to Malignaggi. Katsides is exciting and brings excitement and always has a punchers chance. I don't smoke.

So a rematch of one of the best fights of last year should have been superseded by a fight against an even more limited-skill opponent for JMM? Gotcha. You should be a promoter.

You should be a promoter. 138.5?? he also lost to Nate "Can't make weight" Campbell. He looked lackluster in his last performance. He's shot and has no power and seems to have zero desire. A great fight can occur and when there is a question as to who actually won, then a rematch is needed (See PW Vs Martinez or Pacquaio Vs JMM or Berto Vs. Collazo for recent examples). JMM was outclassing Diaz thoroughly at the time of the KO in the first bout. The rematch in my opinion was not needed because JMM is that much better. The rematch should have been immediate if anyone felt it was necessary.

| So if JMM is that much better than Diaz, what does that make Katsidis, who was thoroughly outclassed by Diaz?
Makes him a victim, and not even a good fight.

Makes him a victim, and not even a good fight. Wrong. Styles make fights, and Katsides is on an upswing and again a new opponent not an opponent that this particular fighter already beat. According to you Marquez Diaz I was a fight of the year candidate. Diaz a swarmer brought the fight to Marquez and made it interesting in the first half of the fight. Katsides a swarming brawler with a bigger punch wouldn't have made a fight of it last night? Your own logic makes your claim nonsense. Not to mention Diaz won a split decision vs Katsides and lost three of his last five before last night. Katsides is on a four fight winning streak.

| Katsidis isn't nearly as sturdy as Diaz. And tell me about Katsidis' punching power when fighting at a world class level. It's nonexistent. | |

And Diaz is Jimmy Wilde? I'm talking about a different opponent. I don't want to see Pac fight Cotto again either. It happened already and there was a clear winner and really no chance for Diaz to win IMO. I'd rather see Pac Mosely. But Mosley beat Margo who beat Cotto but lost to Cotto. So should we never have seen Mosley fight Margo?
