The Thing remake by John Carpenter is arguably better than the original.

The Crazies wasn't bad for a zombie remake. I mean there isn't much they really could have done with that source material so all things considered it was pretty decent.

I just remember seeing another version of "Inglorious Bastards" at the movie store, I don't really know anything about the original. They reused the title so I just assumed it was a remake.

Wow on the King Kong placements.

The 05 remake was akward, painful and barely watchable. Jack Black's acting was so ridiculous I could barely finish the movie, and the tarzan T-rex battle scene? Holy fuck. Horrific. A piece of me died the day I watched that movie, and King Kong 05 ranks as one of the worst movies I've ever watched.

The 76 remake was on the otherhand awesome.

Ok now you're just taking the piss, the 76 remake was atrocious.

Naw, although I originally watched it as a kid so my perspective on it is skewed I am sure. Nothing was worse than that 05 thing though. Nothing. Peter Jackson should have that movie deleted from his file.

I actually love Get Carter the remake!

the newer version of Inglorious basterds isn't quite a remake. The original took place in world war one if I remember right. The newer one takes place in World war two. I liked Rob Zombies Halloween just as much as the original.

The Longest Yard(they melded the original with Sandlers personality which was surprising)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre(R Lee Ermy was pretty fucked up in that one)
Edward Nortons Incredible hulk compared to the 04/1970's versions

the Halloween 2 one was complete garbage

Anything Rob Zombie does is horrible anyway, why would Halloween be any different. That Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake was terrible, be real Ludo.

2005 King Kong was great Wolf. So was War of the Worlds.

Batman Begins was a remake?

They remade the series. I know it wasn't like any other Batman movie but to me it made up for all the other shit ones.

reboots count as remakes. I mean they didn't rehash the old Batman movies but it's a relaunch of a series around the same characters.


Anyway watched Clash of the Titans last night, and while I never saw the first one, this movie lands somewhere between the Scorpion King and Beowulf. In fact it plays quite like Beowulf, just not as good. C+. Decent, not great.
