What? When did he come up with that bullshit?

Apparently Floyd Senior has given interviews recently where he states that is the reason Jr. is avoiding the fight for this year.

As for working out, don't take a prolonged absence from working out. It takes way too much to get back into it.

When I was 27, almost 28, I could bench 315 (never tried more probably could have put up 335), squat around 450, and run 5 miles at a good speed easily. I hurt my shoulder lifting. I think I didn't warm up properly one time and I did something to it.

I took a few months off. My wife and I moved, there wasn't a really good gym so I decided to take a few more months off.

Started having pain in the back. Go to the doctor and find out I have bulging discs. So I spend 4 years getting lazy, doing back exercises, and a little cardio. No real lifting.

Have started back and the strength is almost all gone. Used to be able to hammer out 10-14 reps of 225 in final set of bench and thought nothing of it. Now I might not be able to bench that more than once.

Rather depressing.

Get in shape, and if you take breaks, don't make it prolonged. Do enough to maintain it.
