I know. Its not a big deal. We use to haze when I was in high school. Some of the guys once duck taped a kid to a bench and put him in the shower for the entire practice. That is hazing. This is nothing.

Since we're talking about guys we know..

I went to school with Austin Collie from 7th grade through high school. Austin is a WR for the Colts. Like him, always have but i known the guy for years and i was cursing his name as if he was just anybody when he was making receptions against the Niners last season. Felt pretty bad about it afterwards.

I also went to high school for a year or two with Ryan Anderson who plays for the Orlando Magic at the moment. I've met and talked to him a few times at school because being a fuckin giant..he stood out but i can't say i know him really..if he did not go on to play in the NBA i would have had a hard time remembering i ever met the guy. He seemed pretty cool though, but he was pretty much on his way in when i was on my way out.

SOoners if youve ever watched Dazed and Confused, that shit still goes on at texas high schools, the dumping of all kinds of shit on you (food and eggs and stuff) and paddling

Hey I am a teacher I know it still goes on but it is under our noses. You get expelled for that now.

All teams have done it as far back as I can remember... With the Lions, I remember Barry Sanders telling a story of having to carry Mike Cofer and Chris Spielman's duffel's throughout training camp. Even the amazing Joey Harrington still talks about having his credit card ripped and having a couple thousand dollar dinner tab rang up on it by the vets. It happens to everyone (Most we just don't hear about because it's just part of NFL life) and if you think you're above that pettiness, your fellow teammates will show you exactly where you rank by athletic taping your ass to the goal post, tossing you in an ice bath and forcing you to enjoy it or just going icy hot on your jock strap. I remember there was a story last season about someone paying some huge bill but I can't recall who the hell it was. I remember it got some play because the bill was even larger then usual which says a lot considering it often times reaches 10K+

Yeah but English had a gaurenteed $9.9 mil so I don't think he took it too hard lol. Here is a quote from the article.
