| “Boxing is made up of weight classes,” De La Hoya criticized. “Stick to your weight classes.” “You fought Hopkins for the title at a catchweight,” I reminded him. “What weight class?” asked Oscar. “158,” I replied. “Well, yeah. That was the arrangement, you know?” He explained. “Would I have considered myself the champion at 160 if I would have beat him? No. There’s weight classes and there is a reason we have weight classes. But boxing is now a business. And it seems that people are heading towards that direction.” http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Gabriel/Montoya072710.htm | |

| Yea, I had posted something before about Shaw saying Angulo was willing to fight at Heavyweight then retracting when someone asked him if he'd fight Martinez at 155.
There's so much bullshit in the sport. Even the people who say it can't keep track of it. Looks like De La Hoya is starting to embrace his role as a promoter though. |

| Oscar is always full of shit. As a fighter his interviews before every single fight would have him saying he had a great camp, he is in the best shape of his life, etcc... same bullshit every time. | |

| "Boxing is full of shit man" - Paulie Malignaggi
I remember Roach saying "I dont care if Cotto comes in at 200 lbs Manny is still beating him". And yet they still wanted a catchweight. | |
