| Some of that shit is all over the place. JDS more devastating than Shane Carwin? Marlon Sandro more devastating than Fedor? Also, how is Evan Dunham under appreciated? He's an 11-0 up and comer who is still making his way up the ladder in the Lightweight division(one of the most talent rich divisions in all of MMA) and he's been given progressively harder oppoents by the UFC. Still a joke. | |

| You could make a case that JDS is ten times more devastating a striker. They both have similar one punch capability but JDS has many more ways to deliver the payload. | |

| Aldo's not even that devastating. He had that nasty Cub Swanson K.O., but besides that, he's just way technically superior, not devastating. | |

| Are repeated leg kicks really that devastating? It's not like they were Pat Barry or Antoni Hardonk leg kicks that really mess people up. They were just bad because of the quantity. I wouldn't consider Matt Hughes' leg kicks to Renzo "devastating". They were certainly effective. | |

LOL... I am sure if you blew Aldo up to a HW his technique added with that weight would be killer. You just sound dumb. Comparing a 145'er to HWs. Not only that you under mind Faber's toughness. P4P his striking is way more devastating..... You ever been kicked on your sciatic nerve by a shin.... obviously not.

| The sciatic is kind of hard to kick, Muay. It's located just below the buttock in the meat of the back of the thigh. But you make an excellent point about blowing Aldo up by 100lbs how truly devastating those kicks would actually be. Repeated leg kicks are indeed a sign of both technical superiority and devastation. If you can repeatedly land ANYTHING in this sport against an opponent anymore it has to be labeled as devastating because everyone knew Aldo likes the leg kicks and Faber still couldn't do anything about them. | |

It is hard to kick directly yes, but it is the main and biggest nerve in the legs running from your back down to about the sweet spot for any muay thai practitioner, just above the knees on the rear side. When you cause damage to that nerve it causes pain to the entire leg which renders it helpless. You obviously understand the science of the kick yourself so me rambling on about this to you is useless. Judges and some fans for that matter that think leg kicks are not damaging need to do some research or take muay thai.
