i don't consider myself to be much of a baseball fan, but what are all your guy's thoughts on the season thus far? the Giants are impressing me and i am happy that Matt Cain is finally pulling it together. also, where did Pablo Sandoval come from? nice young hitter there. World Series favorite? Dodgers or Yankees. with that said, the possible trading of Roy Halladay could completely switch that all up. some say, the Phillies might get him. if that happens, look out for a repeat.

I'm with you buddy, I have been a Rangers fan my whole life. My dad took me to a few games when I was a kid and I got to see Nolan Ryan's last game.

I like the Cardinals, they are starting to put together a good season. Rasmus, Pujols, and Ludwick, those are good 2,3,4 hitters. Hopefully Glaus can come back before the end of the season and contribute. Don't forget about Carpenter, Lohse, and Wellermeyer.

No, I never really posted on the boards on ESPN, just read through what you guys had to say. I don't know enough really to debate MMA with you guys but I am a huge fan of the sport.

Astros are at .500 at the break with their 2nd half run about to start. I feel bad for the Cubs, Brew Crew, & Cards.

I ultimately think to BoSox take it all this year.

The Astros? They do usually go on a run in the second half, but I think the Cards are just too strong.

How do you figure? Outside of Pujos they aren't a strong hitting team. While he's about as good as they come I feel like he'll slow some and the pitching has already pitched above their head. The central is wide open and the 'stros lineup has the sticks with Bourn, Berkman, Lee, Tejada, Pence, and Pudge(not too bad for a 7 hole hitter).

I was already in one with my friends. I'm not sure I could handle another one.

Once they moved Rasmus to the 2 hole, in front of Pujols, he has been on a great run. Glaus should be back by middle of August (hopefully), and De Rosa will be back before too long. Carpenter, Lohse, and Wellermeyer have a proven track record of good pitching. I think even more than their lack of good bats in the lineup will be their bullpen.

The Astros are getting up there in age. I don't know I just think its the Cardinals or the Brewers to lose. Cubs have no chance IMO, no pitching.

The Dodgers are FINALLY in shape to go all the way, although Dodger failure is never a suprise to me. Im actually watchin the dodgers/astros game now.

'stors shut out the Dodgers Very Happy

Today we have Billingsly vs Oswalt. What a hell of a match up. Too bad Roy is on fire and Chad isn't throwing as well as he did early on. I know I have both on my fantasy team.

Red Sox will win the world series. My guess would be against the Dodgers. Don't think the Phils have the pitching and there is no one in the NL Central that is a real contender IMO
