Update : Migel Torres Does Not need to move up a class.

Even if he lays waste to Bowles tonight, he won't move up much if any in p4p polls, but Silva, who after 100 was well behind GSP and Fedor is now a clear front runner on the latest Sherdog poll.

Torres has done everything he can at this weight. All the competiton is at 145. Aldo, Faber, Brown, Fabiano, possibly Kid. What's left at 135?


Fail. The story going into this fight should have been how everyone ignores how Torres gets tagged by tiny Japanese fighters every time he fights. Bowles exploited holes in his striking game and his over aggressiveness.

I agree. If he wins tonight he should move up to 45. There could be some damn good fights there

100% agree. I like to see fighters win based on their fighting skill (Silva) vs fighters who win based on size (Brock) but thats just me.

If he moves up to 45, that instantly becomes the most interesting division in MMA.

Here is how I see it going down if Torres wins tonight.

He moves up to fight Faber
Aldo fight Brown soon.

The winners of those two fight and we find out exactly who is the best in the WEC and P4P #5 (or higher)

Fabiano needs to be in the next cycle of title fights/eliminator fights. This division is the most stacked(the division with the most questions, all other divisions are on lock)

Fabiano can fight Garcia & Manny while this is going on. If he gets past them then he'll be the #1 contender after my mini tourney is decided.

ugh that would suck. I've been waiting for his title shot since the IFL folded and he went to the WEC...

I would love to see Torres vs Brown or Faber.

If he wins tonight that's what I need to see Torres has had some issues with Japanese fighters, so a fight with Kid would be super interesting.

Does anyone know if Zuffa plans to bring the WEC to a UK network ?

Torres looking back was over valued big time.

What I mean is he took a lot of shots, where as the best in other divisions avoid that stuff.

yeah but until tonight he proved capable of fighting through those shots and thus the adversity that goes with it, which is a pretty good quality for a champion. But Bowles obviously has pop, dropped him twice.

Yeah torres is till more skilled then bowles in my book just a bit wreckless kinda like urijah. They make for great fights but time to learn some defense.
