| In response to the idea that HWY is totally thin, and that the top 25 would incluce a list of freakshows and has beens, I post my top 25(a loose collection but imo a solid counter argument).
1)Brock 2)Fedor 3)Carwin 4)Werdum 5)Cain 6)Jr 7)Overeem 8)Big Foot 9)Nelson 10)Barnett 11)Mir 12)Nog 13)Cro Cop 14)Rogers 15)Gonzaga 16)Kongo 17)Rothwell 18)Barry 19)Duffee 20)Russow 21)Del Rosario 22)Lashley 23)Couture 24)Sylvia 25)herring
HM Aleks, Hunt, Yvel, Rizzo, Monson, Choi, Kharitonov, Schaub
and I didn't even need to include Kimbo, Buentello, Al Turk, Sparks or Goodridge.
Again, a loose collection, I'd have to sort some guys out, and I prob missed some guys, but, I think it does a decent jjob in dispelling the notion as hwy as a completely flimsy division.

You have Lashley listed over Randy Couture? Randy can beat almost everybody on this list and you put him at 23? On top of it all you listed Fedor over the guy who just beat him in under 2 minutes.

| How many of these listed guys are serious potential contenders? I think you're missing the point. Still, the division isn't nearly as bad as three years ago. | |

| That's still really, really weak compared to the other divisions. Even the unestablished ones like bantamweight. | |

| Imagine how thin the divisions would be if they split heavyweight into two classes. | |

| If there was a Cruiserweight division it wouldn't all be made of Heavyweights. It would be people like Jones and Rampage who are too big for Light-heavyweight. |

| Which makes it even worse of a situation.
Not only would it fracture HW needlessly but it would drain many fighters from LHW at a time when the division is as thin as it's ever been.
Ruin the two most important divisions in the sport to add "crusierweight"?
Ya that's not a ridiculously idiotic half-baked idea at all...

| Only on forums and only from people who witnessed a single fight between Lesnar and Couture and declared 265 pound monsters will rule forever. (nevermind Couture beat Sylvia and 250+ Gonzaga) | |

I've always thought it was weird that everybody assumed that Brock and Shane were gonna rule over the division because they were too big. Sure, they're definitely big, and it certainly helps them some, but it's not like they're unbeatable. And if someone, let's say Cain, gets Brock to the ground, he's not getting up immediately like some people think. It took him forever to get up when Shane was on him, and seeing how slow his hips are, that's the ticket to beating him. That or just beat his ass standing. Either way, Cain's got his number.

It took him forever cause he was badly hurt. He weathered the storm and when he had his head right again he got up. It would have been a terrible decision for Brock to jump right back.

| Rothwell has been fighting MMA for over ten years and has logged thousands of more hours in the gym off his back. | |

U saying the shit like Brock doesnt have talent, skill, or doesnt have traing is fucking nuts LOL. Brock probably works just as hard as any1 in the sport like it or nut Wolf. He will just keep on beating all ur favorite fighters and u will keep hating on the guy for a very long time!

He will just keep on beating all ur favorite fighters and u will keep hating on the guy for a very long time! He's not saying he doesn't have talent or skill. He's pointing out that the reasons people give for Brock winning is because of his physical gifts. "He's too big, he's too strong, he's too fast." You rarely see, "He's been working on throwing a great straight right hand."
