But I'll take the Fedor card.

Can't believe I jumped on the Ron Sparks band wagon but: That would be sweet.

I just wanted to see what everyone thought. I clearly think the one with Fedor was better and I'm expecting to hear the same from the great posters of ninja's place. But Strikeforce must think otherwise because today when I went to buy tickets, they were a good $15 to $50 more per section. Anyone else been to a strikefore event and remember pricing?

| ah now the thread makes sense? Maybe it's the overhead of the venue, or maybe SF is just ready to charge more. Not many of us remember the old UFC days or went to old shows like bird did, but the UFC has increased their prices 100 fold in the last five years. | |

| Antonio Silva vs. Sergei Kharitonov is likely to be in Houston as well.
It looks strong. If Rafael comes in shape, he can cause problems. The middleweight matchup is an excellent one. KJ/Gurgel should be fireworks. Maybe Bobby will fight somebody.
Houston looks good. On paper, the matchups look more competitive. Going into Fedor/Rogers...the two fights that i thought would be competitive were Shields/Mayhem and Werdum/Silva

this was brought up regarding one of the recent bellator's. MMA is a pricey show. When GSP vs Hardy was in Newark, I think it was $65 for nosebleeds, and they sold out quickly, scalpers had em for twice the price within a week.

Plus GSP is a pretty big star. No one knows who King Mo is and Strikeforce is no UFC. I have a feeling the Toyota Center will not be close to packed.

Obviously, not living in Texas, I was not going to this fight. And I don't know what the prices are, but I would not spend big $$$ on this card. But this is an in general sports statement. It's much cheaper(and still quite enjoyable) to watch these events at home in front of a big tv with alot of friends.
