Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is looking to put together a November bantamweight clash between Nonito Donaire and WBO/WBC bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel. Donaire confirmed the information on his facebook page, writing "Arum confirming Montiel in November."
Donaire, the WBA interim super flyweight champion, made his final appearance at the weight on Saturday in Puerto Rico when he knocked out Hernan Marquez. Montiel makes a defense of his titles against late replacement Rafael Concepcion on July 17 in Mexico. He was going to fight mandatory Eric Morel, who withdrew with a leg injury a few days ago.
