Who will be HW #1 after this weekend?

Fedor...best in the world.....still

I expect Brock to win, but am hoping for him to lose. Fedor has been fighting questionable competition for years while the rest of the sport evolved, He is in real danger of major decline, barring the fanboys who worship him.

Brock will keep the top spot warm for Overeem.

I'm still not a Fedor fan but I am much closer to being a fan then I was before. All those people jumping off the bandwagon left plenty of empty seats for me to jump on board....I'm thinking about becoming a Fedor fan now.

I am a Kenny and Randy fan, but mostly I am just interested in interesting fights and matchups. If I had to chose a HW to be a fan of? I would probably go with Cain or JDS.

as much as I would like to say carwin he has not fought that much top comp and lesnar needs more fights more so than who he has beat. werdum needs a few more good ones and fedor is still fedor and I rank him first still regardless of what I think brock or carwin would do to him in the cage.

yet he's fought better comp recently then the guy's atop the UFC.

I think your argument is spot on, EXCEPT I think Fedor's loss allows the bolded portion to overrule.

Who? Brett Rogers? Werdum? Please, logic dictates your argument is void. Rogers KOd a chinless AA and Werdum got KTFO by the 4th best HW in the UFC. I am not saying that Mir is the greatest fighter ever, but he is a damn sight better than Rogers, AA, Sylvia, etc.

When Fedor fought Sylvia, Sylvia was the fifth best HW.

When he fought AA, he was the sixth best.

When he fought Rogers, he was at the bottom end of the top ten.

When he fought Werdum, he was at the bottom end of the top ten.

That's four top tens in a row after HMC and Lindland.

THat's stiff competition, but it could have been better if he was fighting guys that were giving the UFC reasons to let those guys go.

Fedor's competition is better than all the resumes of the UFC newclass combined. Who have Lesnar and Carwin beat exactly? Frank fucking Mir and a 45 year old Couture. Not a murderers row by any means.

I want to root for cain but he looses points for the Brown Pride Tat and cant even speak spanish.

I am a JDS guy for UFC heavies. Carwin is gaining momentum.

Well, Randy was somewhere between #2-#4 when Brock beat him.

And the second time Brock fought Mir, Mir was easily top five and as high as #2.

And Heath Herring was probably top 15 coming off a win over Kongo.

That's comparable to Fedor's last four fights, and it's superior if you count just the last two.

You can't keep discrediting competition.

This is a joke right?? Timmy had already gotten beat down by Randy, AA fought Feodr then in his next fight he got KOed so fuckin fast it was nuts, Rogers put up a fight vs Fedor then went and got destroyed by Overeem and now he loses to Werdum. U can make the arguement his competition wasnt as good as it looked on paper also.

That same argument can be applied to Brock's tree of wins though Tim. And I keep hearing how Fedor has to fight all these UFC guys. Why haven't any of them fought eachother?

Well now they will start to all fight each other saturday. Brock vs Carwin then the winner fights Cain Velasquez and if JDS does his job he will probably get the next title shot. They will all fight each other starting very soon.
