Update 3; Lesnar manager ; rumor false. Brock 100% and better than ever.

Posting on his Twitter account, Lesnar’s manager, Brian Stegeman said:

“Just spoke to Lesnar’s manager, Brian Stegeman. He said the reports are 100 percent FALSE. He’s better than ever, Stegeman said”

MMABay was tipped off by a source close to the fighters camp earlier today who we can only assume jumped to conclusions over a possible niggle picked up in the past few days. As we all know, it’s not until after these big fights that fighters actually admit to fighting injured. Stay tuned to MMABay for more updates as we get them.

A source close to the mammoth fighter spoke to MMABay earlier today, explaining there was some sort of problem and that a withdrawal from the fight, dubbed as the biggest heavyweight clash in UFC history, seemed likely.

After further investigation is seems that heavyweight knockout artist, Junior dos Santos could be pulled from his UFC 117 showdown with Roy Nelson to fill in on July 3rd, facing Carwin for the interim heavyweight title. Stay with us as we attempt to get 100% confirmation on the situation.

Rumours are hitting forums that the returning UFC Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar will no longer be fighting in UFC 116. He was supposed to be fighting Interim Champion Shane Carwin for the right to be the UFC's Undisputed Heavyweight Champion.

Rumour has it that Lesnar, who has been out of competition with diverticulitis for little over a year, will remain out following some kind of injury sustained in training.

This now means that both the main and co-main events of the UFC 116 event have seen fighters pull out and be replaced.

In the co-main event, Wanderlei Silva had to pull out of his fight against Yoshiro Akiyama. He was replaced by Chris Leben, who fought last at the Ultimate Fighter Finale, and will therefore be fighting Akyama only two weeks after his last victory.

Rumours also have it that Junior Dos Santos is most likely to take Lesnar's place.

Stay tuned for news as to whether this is legitimate or a rumour, but if it is legitimate, UFC 116 will be a serious disappointment for some fans

Edit Update: 5 hours nearly since this story broke on the MMA underground forum, zero confirmation from Brock Lesnar so far, however it's still early where Lesnar is and confirmation could be coming later in the day.

Edit Update: According to Kevin Iole, this rumour is untrue. It's looking like we will be seeing the fight we were expecting if he's right, but he still may not be.

I'm not finding this on any real reputable sites... I was going to PPV and catch when I get back from vacation, but if Brock and Wand aren't on this card I'm not wasting the cash and will find it on the net when I return. A huge letdown if true...

Dude without Brock and Wandy, 750K seems way high. I like Carwin, planned on picking him, but is he a big draw? Is Jr? This is a major bubble burster.

Title fights always do 600k or more. Carwin and Dos Santos would do around that, so that is why I left 750 as the max ceiling.

UFC PPV buyers know exactly who Jr Dos Santos is. I still think this could be a big fight.

But I'm still buying the PPV. I love watching JDS fight.

The Bleacher Report is one of the worst websites on the internet. If that's the only place reporting this there's no reason to be worried

MMA Bay is too, but they have a terrible rep too. Although they did break the first major Brock story which was that he was to fight Randy Couture. They took crap for that for months and then it turned out to be true. They have someone inside the camp I think.
