Fitch: If Koscheck beats GSP I'll move up to MW

These AKA guys just baffle me. Are there any top guys at 185 that you would pick Fitch to beat?

Your title's a little off, but yes I think he can beat a top middleweight. I'd pick him to beat Maia, because I don't believe it's possible to submit Fitch.

Whats up with all this bullshit that teammates won't fight each other? I can understand not moving fully into a weight class because your training partner has the title, but refusing to fight someone from your same camp? Mauro said it best last night about King Mo and Babalu "Friendship doesn't pay the bills".

Could Fitch beat a top Middleweight? It's hard to say right now, he has a good skillset for the division but I don't know if he's truly big enough. Some of those guys cut like 30-40lbs to get to 185. Plus he may end up running into Sonnen and getting a taste of his own medicine. It's hard to tie up someone who's legitimately 20lbs bigger than you on fight night in the clinch for very long if he doesn't want to be there. But overall I don't think Fitch would have title contender status in 185.

Part of Fitch's problem with moving up to Middleweight is that he's not great in either of the two main components of MMA. His standup isn't lethal, and his ground game isn't world beater status either. Most top contenders at Middleweight possess one or the other at or near elite status. I just don't know that above average ground game and average-esque striking is going to get him very far in the top 10 in that division.

Fitch needs to grow some testicals. This shit is getting old.

I think he could be competitive. He needs to sharpen his stand up or he will not be shit in three years.

fitch should just move up anyway.. it shouldn't matter if he has the belt or not. If there is a top ranked fighter that you dont want to fight in the division.. go fight in another division.

And that's exactly why I am starting to get pissed off with boxing, I don't need that sort of behavior infecting MMA.

Since it isn't happening anyways, this won't come into play.
