Ward vs. Green unofficial pick

Everyone needs to make their picks for the fight. And since this isn't the ESPN board you need to provide a "logical" reason why you are picking either fighter. Statements such as Green is going to kick his arse, really don't suffice.

Ward by competitive decision-

I think Green has the tools to make this a good fight. He is slightly bigger, naturally stronger, and his handspeed is good enough to not be overwhelmed by Ward. The thing that I question about him is his mindset.

He hasn't stepped up and faced a fighter of Ward's caliber. Green also often displays low activity in fights. Doing just enough to win a round is fine if you are facing decent competition. It won't work against Ward.

Ward comes out strong and will use the jab to keep Green at bay. Green will have his moments using the right hand, but ultimately Ward will outhustle, out think, and win a competitive decision.

Ward by KO or wide decision

Think he's a level above Green

Green has scored some nice KO's but he's looked like crap vs Simms, Rubin Williams, and then getting dropped twice in loss to the stepping stone Miranda

Ward by Unanimous decision. I just think Green is a class below Ward. Ring and emotional IQ of Green is too weak.

I don't think Green or Dirrell belong in this tournament.

Andre Ward is not going to knockout out Allan Green, he couldn't stop a war torn Edison Miranda or a mentally deflated Mikkel Kessler.

Andre Ward by unanimous decision but in highly competitive fight.

I was wondering something. Does anyone think Greens size will come into play? He is the bigger fighter and I think he also has a reach advantage. Can Green keep Ward at the end of his jab and make Ward try to get inside where Green can drop his bombs on Ward?

Capt, Ward is the smart pick, and he's probably the overall better fighter, but a little overrated after his big win over Kessler. However, I'm going with Green, I believe he knows this is his last shot at the bigtime, and he puts it all together in this fight puts some serious hurt on Ward, and stops him by 8th round TKO.

8th round KO. HELL YEAH. I cant wait for this fight.

Green will have the right mindset for this fight because of what it means to him. He doesn't have the greatest defense in the world however I think if he keeps Ward off with the jab and uses his physical advantages, he can win a fairly close decision.

Ward fought an excellent fight. Green is just not in the top tier of SMW's.

Hey I like Ward I just am honest about the fight. Both fighters looked bad but Green looked real bad.
