| Guaranteed this will be on PPV GBP will ruin Khan, book it! http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=28535Shah Khan, the father of WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan, says lightweights Michael Katsidis and John Murray are asking for too much money to fight his son. Shah confirms to hometown paper, The Bolton News, that his son will fight the winner of the Juan Manuel Marquez-Juan Diaz rematch, taking place on July 31 in Las Vegas. Murray and Katsidis have been attacking Khan in the press. Shah says they approached their team for a fight and now attack Amir for fighting smaller boxers. “They approached us and now they are saying these things,” Shah said. “Murray and Katsidis want silly money for the fights and their demands are just not feasible.” Amir will return in November or December against the Marquez-Diaz winner. The fight will take place in either the UK or the United States. Shah hopes a deal is struck fast with the Marquez-Diaz winner, after their fight is over. “We are hoping that a deal will be struck shortly for Amir to fight the winner,” Shah added. “It will be a tough fight for Amir but a really good test against boxers who have been former world champions.” | |

| i dont know how much khan could handle either one of these guys. it all depends how they look i guess. potentially, both of them could be about done with their careers. if either one of these guys look good though, i dont think that khan can handle them. marquez will counter khan a ton a probably hurt him a lot which will make khan stop throwing and go into defensive mode. if diaz actually trains and turns into the diaz of old, i think that he will pressure too much for khan's comfort. again though, both of these fighters arent what they used to be so we will see. | |

Lame, Khan needs to face Marcos Maidana next.
If JMM has anything left in the tank he might be a challenge for Khan, after all he is a future hall of famer with power. Juan Diaz would get demolished by Khan. |

Diaz def showed he cant handle 140 by struggling with Paulie Marquez MIGHT be a challenge but not at this weight and stage of his career...Khan too big for him

| It must be Golden Boy, why else would Khan say he'd like to unify in the post fight interview with Kellerman.
There was an article where Khan and Freddie were telling Golden Boy they wanted Maidana but Golden Boy weren't interested. Sounds like Khan needs to get a new manager. |

Amir isn't chasing down fighters in malls to confront them or creating t-shirts. |

Lots of talk, not much action.

| BS Ali. GBP works for Khan. Khan has final say who he fights. If Khan tells Schaefer, "I will only sign a contract for Bradley or Alexander" then that is what Schaefer would work towards.
See Gary Shaws comments RE: Khan and GBP avoiding Bradley/ Alexander. I hate Shaw's guts, but I believe him on this one.

| Do you think GBP even told Khan about that? I doubt Shaw or that tourney talk was ever serious since its only 1 promoter BS'n the media The only fights they brought to the table where Katsidis, Casamayor, or Murray
but they couldnt go through with either of those bc of $$$$
JMM-Diaz II winner vs Khan, provides just that, two names that HBO will over pay for and still land on PPV

| So it's all on GBP or Shaw? Khan is just an angelic victim of the dirty business of boxing? Right. If Khan wanted Bradley or Alexander, it would be done. | |

Amir Khan wanted Marcos Maidana and instead was presented with the Juan Manuel Marquez vs Juan Diaz winner. |

| So you are going to stand by the belief that Khan has no say in who he fights? | |

| Khan does
but Maidana doesnt even have a contract right now Alexander busy with Kotelnik, Bradley w/Aregu, then chasing each other down
Khan can say he wants Maidana, but if there isnt enough $, aint happening
That's what it comes down to $$$$
And I cant knock Khan for a Maidana fight not happening right now since GBP fucked that up by not even having Marcos signed to a legit agreement

| He's not fighting again until December. I think that is enough time for a fight with Bradley or Alexander to be made. Bradley is only fighting at 147 because he couldn't get Khan or Alexander. There is no doubt that Khan is the fight Bradley wants the most.
I don't blame him for not facing Maidana this summer because it now appears that Maidana has legal issues on his end.

| After his victory over Paul Malignaggi, Khan recommended a light welterweight tournament with him fighting Marcos Maidana and Alexander and Bradley fighting each other. Then the winners would face off to become the undisputed light welterweight champion. Maidana and Khan are both represented by Golden Boy. Bradley's promoter, Gary Shaw, said he was talking to HBO a month ago to put together a tournament, but not how Khan planned it out. Shaw said it made no sense for Alexander and Bradley, the two undefeated Americans, to fight each other in the first round, especially since they possess three of the four major belts. But Shaw said they could have a blind draw to see who fights each other in the first round and at the end of the tournament, award the champion an additional $500,000. “(HBO) liked all the ideas,” Shaw said. “Problem is, Khan doesn't like the idea and Golden Boy wouldn't like it.”http://www.mydesert.com/article/20100615/SPORTS03/6150330/1006/news01/Bradley+talks+all+big+names+on+listI believe this, and I agree with that fat pig Shaw: why should the #1 and #2 Americans with all the trinkets fight each other in round 1 ? Khan knows Maidana is an easier fight, so he wants him first. | |

Khan knows Maidana is an easier fight, so he wants him first. He's talking about a non existent tournament how about Bradley and Alexander take care of business in July and August then face each other instead of bitching about possible match ups with somebody else Bradley vs Abregu 7/17 Alexander vs Kotelnik 8/7 Fight and win, then face each other Forget about the BS w/Khan, GBP is controlling his career now, all they care about is $$$$, I'm pretty certain he wont be fighting a top Jr WW anytime soon
