SF 8 Man MW Tourney

I haven't been around as much lately but has anyone heard anything on it? The rumor is the SF in Houston will be part of the tourney in August and it will include Jacare. This of course is assuming Jake signs with the UFC.

Who would you put in the tourney?

Had a discussion last night, not on this topic but very relevant to it.

SF's MW division vs UFC MW division (minus Anderson for the sake of argument).

SF is pretty loaded with gamers at or around MW.

Jacare will be champ if Sheilds does infact leave

Me too. Jake doesn't match up well at all with Jacare. The BJJ cancels out, Jacare has improved his striking

I don't think there is any chance this tourney is going to happen. But if it did I would drop Diaz from Farmers list and add Lindland.

but a tournament would be the perfect remedy. cause throwing 2 guys into a title fight after your champ bolts is weak.

But with diaz being devoid of quality opponents at 170 I think this would provide a good challenge for him.

I'd rather see smoking Joe in the tournament then the Law.

So should Nick just give up the WW belt? No point in him having 2 belts. He won't be able to defend them both very often. If Diaz wants to fight at 185 only in SF then go ahead and put him in, if not then find a real MW. Law did just beat the almighty King Kevin.
