Watched both of Rob Zombie's movies the other night. The Devil's Rejects and House of 1,000 corpses. Both of them were ok. I thought the dialogue and acting were a little over the top in the House of 1,000 corpses, but still creepy as fuck all the same...and the Devil's Rejects was also pretty good, the dialogue and acting seemed to be a little better in that one.

Finally got to see The Social Network yesterday and I have to admit, I loved it. Great dialogue and a really cool score by Trent Razor.
David Fincher is probably my favorite director around at the moment, Benjamin Button is the only film he's made that I don't really like.

Avoid Dinner For Schmucks ! It's a really poor comedy.

Not really about a movie i saw recently, but anybody else feeling a Natalie Portman overload?
Don't get me wrong. She's an excellent actress and very pretty...but damn, take a break girl...she's in everything right now. James Franco is not that far behind. They are even in the silly movies that top serious actors and actresses don't usually star in.

13 Assassins By Takashi Miike (Director of Audition, Ichi the Killer, Zaitochi) Japanese, English Subtitles
Japanese period piece about samurai in Feudal Japan who are hired to assassinate the Shoguns corrupt brother.
Holy crap is this a good movie. One of the best samurai themed movies in a long time. Epic storyline, great acting, and enough action/violence to please anyone. You'll be hooked from the beginning and after witnessing some of the bad-ass samurai fight scenes, i don't think you'll be dissapointed.
Great flick, i give it a 4/5 and recommend it to anyone who digs samurais and epic storylines.

I wouldn't care if Natalie Portman was in every movie.

This.
I do not complain about Natalie Portman overdose. She's slamming.

Watched Paranormal Activity 2 last night. I guess it was as effective as the first...which i enjoyed..though the whole bit at the end got me thinking "yeaah oookkay" because you figured they would have mentioned that whole mess at the end of the last one considering it happened the very next night...and of course these movies only work if they can keep up with their own story, because they are supposed to be the "real life" horror. Not to be a spoiler but they say she was never seen again at the end of the first one when clearly they saw her again....duhhh.
but that one scene in the kitchen caught my ass off guard...i was waiting for the pot to fall down and then BAM. hook. line. sinker. They got me on that one.
What i did find funny was i watched the credits at the end and they pretty much made the same movie with about a few hundred more people in the credits for helping make the movie than in the first one
