Yikes ! Sakio Bika-Jean Paul Mendy IBF Eliminator only gets $30k bid

I'm quite sure Bika will turn this fight down. I understand Bika's frustration at not getting any paydays, but at some point he is going to have to take a minor fight and try to make a statement.

A Purse Bid was held in the IBF Office yesterday for the IBF Super Middleweight Eliminator (#1 position) between Sakio Bika and Jean Paul Mendy. The winning bidder was Golden Boy Promotions with a bid of $30,000. Golden Boy Promotions was the only bidder.

What frustration ? Sakio Bika has fought Joe Calzaghe,Lucian Bute,Peter Manfredo,Jaidon Corington,Sam Soliman,Markus Beyer, and was offered an eliminator for the Super Six against Allan Green but turned it down.

He's got nothing to complain about, he's a journey man.

He's not a big name and doesn't have a fanbase, this is all he's going to make unless he beats somebody in the top ten.

Turning down the Green fight isnt going to make promoters bid for him

Hopefully GBP gets this fight on TV, I'm intrigued by the match up

Has FNF written all over it. However, I doubt Bika takes the fight at those figures. Let's hope.
