| He's an exellent boxer, has no shortage of heart and determination, but he looked fragile in there last night against a world class banger/brawler like Cotto. Foreman hit Cotto with some flush right hands and he barely blinked. Without the power to hurt quality opponents, Yuri is never going to be able to take it to the next level.

| No, he won't take it to the next level. He is a good boxer. That will allow him to beat all but 5 or 6 guys in the world at 154. But to beat the elite 5 or so, you have to have some power, or be a great boxer. He isn't either.
He has made a good career of it and if he physically recovers he could have a couple of more good paydays. I could see him winning a belt again at 154 if he is matched against a fellow boxer.

| He has no shot at doing anything if he doesnt get that knee fixed. His Boxing was non existant when his knee buckled. He also mentioned it was an old injury and now its back again so it could really be a problem in the future maybe even more than not having a lick of power. | |

My thoughts exactly. Though I think he can use more power, he has no chance at exhibiting his considerable boxing skills if he doesn't get his knee fixed.

| Hopefully last nights fight paid him well enough to get it fixed. |

| I'm surprised he'd fight all these years with such an obvious injury. | |

| He made some money between the Santos fight and the Cotto fight. He seems like a frugal guy. He and his wife didn't move after the Santos fight. He still rides trains and his bike to the gym. I would imagine he will get it fixed and look to make a run at another belt. Along the way he'll get another payday and retire with money in the bank and as a prospective rabbi. | |

| I am sure HBO will give him another date after that display of courage last night. Maybe they'll request Angulo vs Foreman. |

Yup. A guy like him has to be absolutely perfect in order to beat a top guy. Hard to be perfect.

I wonder if it's impact only becomes clear under great stress. Last nigh may have been Foreman's first time under great stress.

| its so rare for a guy with no punch at all to make it when stepping up. even the great fighters without many KO's could usually keep their opponent at bay because they had some pop to their punch. i just dont see any pop whatsoever. | |
