Danny Green vs Paul Briggs set for July 21st

THis could be a very entertaining fight. Briggs is a very tough Aussie who went life and death with Tomasz Adamek in two classic fights at 175. Briggs pushed Adamek right to the edge.

IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green (29-3, 26KOs) will defend his title against countryman Paul Briggs (26-3, 18KOs) on July 21 in Sydney. Briggs is coming out of a three year retirement to take the fight with Green. The fight was rumored to be in negotiations last month.

Briggs fought Tomasz Adamek in two memorable wars a few years ago at light heavyweight. He lost both fights with close majority decisions coming down both times. Briggs doesn't think he needs a tuneup to beat Green and plans to make it a war in the ring. They sparred several times a few years ago.

"I'm in great shape, my version of out of shape is the average person's super fit," said Briggs at the press conference. Billy Hussein will train Briggs for the fight.

If Joe couldn't stop an ancient cut Roy, I doubt he'll stop Hopkins. Chad Dawson is the only one out there who I see being able to stop Hopkins.

But Calzaghe did have him gasping for air late in their fight, I wouldnt be surprised by late TKO

Schaefer has talked to both fighters about it, so probably in the works even though nothing is official

Not like the coca is going to slow him down

Bernard looked lackluster in his last 2 performances. I favor Calzaghe and the white powder.
