At one point 147 was the hottest division in boxing. Currently the top 5 boxers has either moved up, in the verge of retirement or they did not live up to expectations. Is 147 in the verge of sinking?
PBF - fights once a year PAC- fighters 1-2 times a year Cotto - move to 154 Clottey - C class fighter PW - move up to 160 Berto - B class fighter, not polish enough Callazo - fighting @ 154 Mosley - Close to Retirement Margo - Campaigning @ 154 Cintron -Campaigning @ 154 Judah - Campaigning @ 140

Will remain hot bc of Floyd and Pac, after that might see it in a transition period
After that I'm sure more of the crop at Jr WW will eventually make the move up, so we'll be in good hands considering how loaded 140 is

Personally Bradley will be the first to jump to 147. Don't look like Khan or Alexander will see him anytime soon.

Yea read that too, who knows, sounds like a bad move considering he's in a sweet spot at 147 w/a trinket and in line for Pac/PBF in case anything happens there

Mighty!!!!! Welcome sir I am very glad you decided to join us. 147 is always good. Even if all of the great guys moves on all the great 135 guys and 140 guys will fill in the voids. But yes you are right 147s big dogs are about to be gone within the next two years.

147 is a glory division with a lot of youngsters knocking at the door. I will be very surprised if it turns into the current middleweight division.

It's still a pretty hot division but i'd say because of the Super 6 and the fights between the best actually happening there, 168 is currently more exciting. there is so much talent at 140lb too that will step up to 147 so i think the Welterweight division will continue to glow warm for the nest several years without doubt

At the moment it's ok, but it could become hot again if Alexander,Khan and Bradley moved up.
