| Former two division champion Miguel Cotto has not fully deserted the welterweight division. As Cotto counts down the days until his challenge of Yuri Foreman for the WBA' junior middleweight title, he doesn't rule out a drop back in weight for the right fight. Most were under the impression that he moved to 154 because of weight issues, but Cotto denies that there were any problems with reaching the welterweight limit. In his last fight, a twelve round TKO loss to Manny Pacquiao, Cotto weighed under the welterweight mark at an agreed catch-weight of 145. The fight with Foreman next Saturday night at Yankee Stadium in New York, will be nine pounds above that weight. Cotto, even at 140, would sometimes enter the ring with an added twenty pounds by fight night. "I never really had a problem to reach 147 pounds. Boxing is a business. If we have a better opponent at a lower weight, we can always go back to 147 without a lot of trouble," Cotto said. If Cotto were to win, his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank has already informed BoxingScene.com that he would become a frontrunner to defend the title against Pacquiao in November - if Arum is unable to match the Filipino fighter with Floyd Mayweather Jr. If Arum makes the Mayweather deal, he told BoxingScene a rematch with Antonio Margarito would be the perfect fight for Cotto. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=28168 |

| Cotto belongs at 147. Arum continues to look out for his own bank account by making in-house fights. | |

| Cotto can easily make 147, I think he moved up to 154 to fight Foreman because of the money and the fight will do well in NY. After this fight, I see either Cotto fighting Pac at 154 if PBF vs Pac doesn't get made, or Cotto moving back down to 147. | |

| If Cotto was to move back down, I hope it's for a Andre Berto fight. |

| The only fight left at Welterweight is Berto
Put that fight in South Florida for the WBC trinket and its a great match up with a electric crowd | |

| Would definitely like to see Cotto vs Berto at 147. There's rumors of Berto moving down to 140, but I would say he's a full fledged WW. | |
