As it relates to the middleweight champion of the world, DiBella stated, "I know that HBO wants to make Martinez-Paul Williams; that is not my first choice. But if we didn’t have any other choice, would we do it? Yes. But I’ll tell you that Sampson Lewkowicz (Martinez’s adviser) was told by Dan Goossen that Goossen has no interest in that fight right now, at this moment. I’ve also heard that there’s a good chance that Paul Williams is moving down to welterweight. Obviously, Sergio’s not a welterweight."Paul Williams, the worst promoted fighter in the sport. Since no Punisher-Maravilla II, who do you want to see Martinez face next? There's nothing at 160, going to have to be a Jr MW, Margarito rematch looks to be the most attractive or the Foreman-Cotto winner.

| Goosen is a horrible promoter and its the reason Guerrero left his as for GBP. They dont want Maravilla because the man is all wrong for PWs style. They dont want to take on a huge risk for little money, they'd rather pick on a small guy for a big payday though.I know SM-PW will have a rematch, no one at WW is going to fight Williams, so he'll end up fighting Martinez again. | |

| Great tactics by DiBella so that Williams will stop with the "Everyone's Ducking me" nonsense. This fight will get made or the only gimmick Williams has goes right out the window. | |

| If they fight at 154 why would it be for the middleweight title? That's Jr. Middleweight, I say if they fight, have it at 154, with no belts, evidently PBF doesn't care about belts as he didn't want to pay the sanctioning fees for Mosley's belt. | |

Because in order to make that fight Floyd would have to have the incentive of grabbing another belt. I actually have no problem with that if they make it happen. Like Bernard and Oscar, that was a catchweight and the belts were at stake.

Like Bernard and Oscar, that was a catchweight and the belts were at stake. I know, but it just seems odd that you would fight at Jr. MW for a MW belt. If the catchweight was say 157 then I could see.

I've gone over this a hundred times over at ESPN. Unlike the amateurs, profesional boxing does not have division minimums, only maximum weight limits. As long as you meet or are below the division limit, the championship is at stake. See Roy Jones winning the WBA heavyweight trinket while weighing in at 193 pounds (below the cruiser limit). Now, some of the alphabet organizations have rules that state the champion must face a top 20 ranked contender in the division for the title to be at stake unless a special exception is granted by the championship committe. All Mayweather would have to do is ask the alphabet org to rank him, which would be no problem given his stature in the sport and the fact he is a former trinket holder at 154. Once again, catchweights are perfectly acceptable for title defenses and in this case both fighters would make the agreed upon weight comfortably.

| Al Haymon ought to let Williams and Berto to get in the ring.
It would be a good fight for the ten people who show up to see it live.

| Dan Goosen is an imbecile. He's ruined Chambers and Arreola's careers by throwing them in with the Klitschko's too early, and now wants to make it look like Welterweights are scared of a Middleweight. |

He also pissed away all the heat Glen Johnson had after beating Jones and Tarver. He also failed to leverage James Toney's hot streak into anything major.

| With Chambers I am torn. he was never going to beat Wlad, but then again when was he going to get that kind of money in a fight otherwise.
As for Arreola, he has ruined his own career. The loss to Vitali should have served as a wakeup call to get into good shape. Instead he was fat and slow against Adamek and lost again.
