| http://www.mmamania.com/2010/5/25/1486732/dan-miller-if-i-lose-to-michael"The UFC is where I want to be my whole career. I don’t want to go anywhere else; I don’t want to fight for any other organization. If I lose this, I’m done. I’m very motivated to get a win. Also, I think this is going to be an awesome fight and I love to fight guys that are exciting. I think Bisping is a very exciting fighter. You know I think it’s going to be a war, I think it’s going to be one of those fights that’s going to the end." | |

They cut Kang after a loss to Bisping. Miller is on a 2 fight losing streak.

| Look, we all knew the Miller brothers run was going to come to this kind of end sooner rather than later didn't we? | |

| Dan's losses are to the current and former #1 contenders. I would hope the ufc wouldn't cut him, but in reality he really does need to win this fight if he wants to stick around in thew ufc. | |

He will be 29 I think coming up soon. Hell if Leben is still around, no reason why Miller shouldn't be. He would fuck Leben's world up.

| wow i just read this on bloodyelbow
" He and his wife, Kristen, lost their first child at birth last year. It's an emotional ordeal from which neither parent has yet recovered.
The death of their daughter came days before Miller was scheduled to face Chael Sonnen at UFC 98 in May 2009. Miller could have pulled out of the bout but opted to fulfill his contractual obligation and provide for his grieving wife.
...
The fight with Maia at UFC 109 would take place a few weeks after the birth of the Miller's second child, Daniel. While most new fathers are filled with excitement over the birth of their child, Miller's joy has been temperate.
Daniel has not had an easy transition into this world, and he is fighting for his life.
...
While Daniel still has a long fight ahead, he is making progress. The family has opted not to disclose the nature of Daniel's illness, preferring instead to say that he is very sick. "

| Cute oggster, but Ron Sparks would be a title contender in his weight class much sooner than any Miller ever would. I like Jim and he has looked good against mid levelers, but I don't ever see him cracking into the top 10. Hey, I gotta be honest I didn't realize he had won four fights since he fought the Bully. I know I can't be the only one who thinks the Miller brothers have over achieved though. In spite of their recent records, I actually think Dan is better per his division than Jim is, but being out struck by Damian Maia is bad news for future aspirations. The Count should be able to 1-2-run his way to a decision here pretty easily. Maybe Dan should work on overhand rights though. Seems like anytime The Count takes a solid right hand he falls down, with varying degrees of concsiousness. | |

| Not sure why he'd be done? He lost to top guys in his last 2, I think he's better than Kang, if he loses he should just get a fight to build himself back up again.
Total coinflip fight with Bisping too, I could easily see Bisping outboxing him and avoiding the takedown just as easily as I could see Miller getting a takedown and working for the sub.
Those overhand rights Wolfy were from Hendo and Wandy....

| Jim Miller is fortunate to be ranked inside the top 15. In reality, he lost his last fight to a guy that's nowhere near the top 10 | |

| Kang clocked him and dropped him also if you remember LA. In his last three fights he has fallen to the ground, inspired exclusively by right hands. I think chin questions may be fair at this stage. Jim Miller is 13th on USA today(which compiles the top 20 rankings) and not top ten on sherdog so... Also as a matter of fact none of his opponents are currently top 25 according to USA Today, besides Gray Maynard, the wrestler, who boxed his ears off resoundingly. If you value W's in "The UFC" above quality wins outside of it, then I suppose I understand ranking him, but in the real context of the sport, Jim Miller is just not a top 10 fighter. | |

| Wasn't that a jobbery against Mark Bocek? Jim Miller wouldn't have made the Bellator finals or out of the first round in the Dream tournament that Hellboy won. Pat Curran > Jim Miller Joking, but in all seriousness, I like the Millers, I just don't think they're that good. | |

| MMA weekly had him at 10, had to check because I was surprised, I think he's a 11-14 guy anywhere in there. | |

| no one ever said they were the most talented, what i like about them is how tough they are. You just read than Dan Miller's baby died days before his fight with Chael Sonnen. In a time when guys pull out of fights for simply stupid reasons, i really appreciate guys like the Miller bro's. Guys who will never duck an opponent, take a fight on short notice, and always leave everything in the cage. | |

| Holy shit, his kid died right before his fight against Chael Sonnen, and they've had another child that is very sick and has been sick since birth. Now I am officially a Dan Miller fan and supporter, and it is much harder to criticize him as a fighter with everything going on around him. Dan Miller #1 p4p. | |

| Jim in the top ten? Interesting Golbez, not being critical, but do you have a real rationale, compelled by his recent activity? | |

I believe I did my rankings for LW shortly after the Aoki vs Melendez fight. I was pretty down on both of them after it, and it created some openings. I think there are a lot of LWs out there that tank Aoki (the list goes further if the fight takes place in a cage) .. Melendez was getting a little bit too much from his win of Aoki I felt, I believe somebody ranked him at #1. Jim Miller is 6-1 in the UFC and has only lost 2 fights both by decision to top 5 fighters in the world at LW. I think Jim Miller is in the 9-13 range right now w/ Aoki, Kawajiri, Sotiropoulos & Griffin. So did some personal beliefs / bias come into play? Sure.

| There are a lot of talented fighters who don't have the heart or aspirations for greatness. There are also guys who don't have great talent, but are such spirited fighters and love what they do. In all reality there are very few Ruas and GSPs in the world. So when it comes to which I would prefer to watch and root for? I am going with less talent and more heart, because at least they care. | |
