| one two or 3 fights does not make a fighter a warrior..it in my mind should be defined over his entire career..many names mentioned here for sure are warriors a few are not...basilio indeed was one great warrior..if i had to pick one fight as an example of deminstrating that it would indeed be the basilio -robinson fight..gatti indeed for sure..this is a guy who is popular with tons of heart..hes mediocre as a fighter but indeed a crowd pleaser...marciano for sure.ketchel graziano harry greb mickey walker chuvalo all belong in the elite status in this category...ez charles is vastly underated in this category and unfairly by newspaper folks..ad wolgast from the pioneers...there are hundreds of elites threwout the years..the true warrior career wise is a fighter that boxing fans should love..a great one in this category reaches gladiator status... | |

| jim jeffries fighting with his style of getting hit over and over and he could finally hit his opponent and KO them. henry armstrong had the style to where you get hit so that you can hit your opponent. he went through some wars. marvin haglar took huge shots from hearns and just kept coming forward. he never backed down to anyone. erik morales was a true warrior. one of my favorites of all time. always fought his hardest and would fight until the end of every fight.
those are a few of mine | |

How the heck could you quarrel with Dempsey? In his own day his determination and fighting spirit were those against whom all others were measured. | |
