| Does anyone think that Dana wants him in the UFC, but hopes more that Brock beats him? Mainly just so he can say something like "The UFC has always had the best guys and we were finally able to prove it"??? Just curious | |

| I think he wants that. It makes Brock (his guy) even more marketable because he'll be #1. | |

| Dana does and doesn't want "UFC" fighters to be number one. He gave Pride superstars ample chances to win titles. Some like Page and Nog made good on it, others like Hendo and Crocop came up short.
But even still, Shogun given a chance after one real decent win. Dana tries hard to appease the "hardcores". He knows 2000 babblers all bashing him on sherdog isn't good for business.

| Eh...I see what you're saying wolf, but I think a lot of fans look at the guys u listed as "UFC" guys. Even if he signs I dont think Fedro will ever be seen as that. | |

| They see them as "UFC" guys now ya. Nevermind, don't get me started on that whole "pride guy vs ufc guy" babble that polluted discussion forums for years. False premise. Hendo, Silva, Liddell ect had all fought in the other promotion before they were ever champions in their "home" promotion. | |

| Plus he knows Brock isn't going anywhere. How bad would it suck if Fedor ran through Brock, the winner of Cain/Shain, the winner of Nog/Couture, and then someone like Machida or Silva then left never to fight anyone worth a damn after that. | |

That wouldn't be bad at all. All that would do is bolster the UFC's claim to bring the best in. How could that hurt the UFC?

| He leaves and all their top guys lose some luster.
M-1 and SF put on a Fedor fight the same night as the UFC puts on Machida-Couture. People are going to want to watch the best fighter in the world fight over 2 guys he's already beaten.

| Personally as long as Fedor fights the best guys in the UFC then I'm not going to complain about seeing some badass fights. | |

| I think Dana wants Fedor BAD. Dana's not an idiot, he knows how good Fedor is even though he won't admit it publicly. I think Dana is honestly trying hard to sign Fedor but M1 is proving very difficult to deal with. Everyone knows they are wanting to copromote, period. Dana will never do this as everyone knows so the Russians need to get off their high horse and let Fedor fight the best in the world. He can wear shorts that say M1 Global. | |

| I agree with pretty much everything, I just think part of him wants to shut people up. I think thats part of the reason he has Kimbo on TUF, so he gets his stupid face caved in. | |
