| not sure if this was mentioned in the sf discussion thread, but...
Kudo's to Melendez for providing the blue print as to how to react to, and recover from an eye poke, most importantly make it known right off the bat that u can see and just need a moment to recover.
conversely, thumbs down to the athletic commisions who refuse to alter the rules to allow a fighter time to recover from an eye poke. | |

| Aoki tried every trick in the book in that fight, the dude may have sick ground game, but his striking needs some serious work, a few guys in the UFC should really take notice of how he did handle getting poked in the eye. | |
