Dos Santos ; The clock is ticking.

He has never faced a wrestler. BJJ stylists do not replicate wrestlers. Gonzaga fight answers no real questions. He is just like a HW Mousasi, flying up the rankings using striking and non wrestling skills, dominating non wrestlers. Top ten for nearly everyone, top five for some, tossed away like garbage once a wrestler prison rapes him.

Dos Santos fans, don't get personally invested. It will only lead to arguments with everyone when they all say they knew he was overrated from the beginning.

The only problem wolf is that the HW division is not as deep as the LHW division. So he will remain high in the rankings until more wrestlers come. Cain is the future regardless of any other HW.

The only wreslters that are gonna beat him are all top 5 HWs, Mo was closer to 20 in the LHW rankings

MO is the real deal though. Even before this fight. Anybody who knows MMA knew that.

Yes he is, but now people are trying to justify their putting Mousasi way too high, but putting Mo that high, instead of realizing maybe Mousasi isn't as good as they thought.

WOW King MO said this exact thing. He said everyone is so high on mousasi but after he beats him they will say he was overrated to discredit him. Crazy aint it lol!

Rankingwise, in that context, you have a point, but forget the perceptions and numbers. HW wasn't as deep, so equivalent wrestlers to Bader, Jones and Mo fly into title shots with single wins over Gonzaga, and into the top ten with wins over Kongo and Rothwell, and to number 2 from outside the top 25 with wins over 45 year old guys coming off huge lay offs.

We know where Mo was ranked, but look at the USA Today consensus rankings, full of Chuck Liddells, Dan Hendersons, Rich Franklins, Vitor Belforts, Paulo Filhos, Keith Jardines Randy Coutures and other fighters that these young wrestlers would smash to tiny pieces or don't even fight in the weight class.




In terms of the match ups themselves, the situations are very similar. In under a year, Bader, Mo and Jones are all Sherdog top ten fighters anyway.

All those guys are top 10 now

LA Mo is a top notch wrestler, and that is the point, a big time wrestler will prove major trouble to a striker jj guy.

even more so at heavy where the guys get huge.
