GSP vs. Sheilds TUF?

I am saying it first. I got SHIELDS over GSP. I always thought it was a bad match up for gsp.

GSP is a beast and isn't dumb, nor does he gas like Hendo

well you did pooh pooh jakes abilities 4 awhile now.

Read through posts, I've always said Sheilds is a legit top 5 WW win or lose in this fight, everyone thought Hendo was a bad matchup, I actually posted the longer the fight goes the better Jakes chances are, still thought Hendo would own him though, like everyone.

Guys like GSP, Fitch, Kos and Thiago are all still very tough fights for him, can't wai to see it

I expect GSP to be everyones choice as he should be the favorite. But I believe Shields has the right tools for GSP. They have tried feeding GSP strikers and GSP just takes them down for 5 rounds. Shields has withstand daley, lawler, and hendo's standup he could take GSP's.

GSP has an amazing shot, and he will take him down with ease, and for for some reason known ony to Greg Jackson he will not pass unitl 30 seconds left in the round. Shields better work on his standup if he is going to be able to give GSP a fight

GSP is the worst matchup I can imagine for Jake Shields. Shields gets lamped by GSP. He can't get on top of him because GSP actually has takedown defense. Let's not forget that no matter how good Dan Henderson's wrestling is supposed to be, he's been taken down and controlled by the likes of Ninja Rua. Not exactly the best at avoiding the takedown. Back to Shields; he has some of the worst standup I've ever seen. GSP on the other hand, fantastic standup and the best takedown defense in MMA. Mix that with his takedown ability, and you've got yourself a tailor made opponent in Jake Shields. I see this fight looking similar to Melendez vs. Aoki with one fighter getting beat up then getting sprawled on. Only I bet GSP would finish this one. As a GSP fan, I can only hope this matchup would be made, because the weird hype for Shields makes GSP look like a god when he dominates him from beginning to end. And few people realize how bad of a matchup it truly is.
