Krzysztof vs. Bonnar rematch targeted for UFC 116 in July

Stephan Bonnar (11-7 MMA, 5-6 UFC) will get his rematch with Krzysztof Soszynski (19-9-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC), and it'll likely come on July 3 at a UFC 116 event headlined by UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar vs. interim title-holder Shane Carwin.

The two light heavyweights first met last month at UFC 110. Bonnar suffered a controversial TKO loss from an illegal head butt, and surprisingly, his appeal was denied.

Justifiable... But if he loses to Krzysztof again, he should be sent packing...

I think Bonnar will forever be employed by the UFC... as an announcer!

I saw Dana in a interview on a show called fighting words on hdnet, he basically said he will never cut Bonnar or Griffin because of there fight on the finale of TUF. He said they are like his kids

Without them, the UFC wouldnt be anywhere near what it is today...and he knows he owes his LIFE...AND his BUSINESS to them.

Agree, but he's really just ok at that aswell

Bonnar is likeable...and his fight with Griffin did a lot for TUF which in turn did wonders for UFC...i say Bonnar should atleast stay employed in some shape or form. Atleast if anybody ever lose to Bonnar they can go ahead and cut that guy immediately.

Dana even supports Bonnar's side business and I think Bonnar will also be forever employed the UFC, with Frank's support.

Bad business... Just because a guy landed me a huge account five years ago doesn't mean I'm keeping him around when he hasn't made a sale in 3 years!!!

You do if that single account turned your business from mom and pops corner market into Super Stop & Shop.

Depends... Is he managing that account and helping it to grow and prosper? In Bonnar's case I say no. Him being on a card does nothing to increase numbers at this point. He loses 4 in a row a smart businessman would cut him loose.

I agree. Boner is no draw what so ever. Any fans of himself and MMA he created back in TUF one finale have been redistributed to other fighters. Any of those still watching do not do so for him. Forrest though I think had more fans going into that fight, coming out of it, and still today. His draw has been time transcendent.
