| "I don’t have a number of buys, but based on trending data which has historically been pretty accurate, it could be in the 215,000 to 240,000 range, basically along the lines of the tape-delayed foreign shows. This was foreign, but wasn’t tape delayed. One cable industry source gave an estimate of 215,000." http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/12594/ | |

| Wow...thats a terribe buyrate for UFC considering that their average is 325-350. Thats a shame because that was probably their best showing since 100. Makes you wonder why they have not released the numbers for Couture-Coeman. | |

| Well if the numbers are close to true I can see why. Sure we had Wandy fighting, but he hadn't been winning lately, fighting someone who no one took seriously anymore after getting KOd from Hendo. Nog who hasn't been fighting or winning consistently against an up and comer. Really, this was a great card for hardcore fans, but there is still some work to do get it sold to the general public. | |

| In 2009 the UFC averaged 620,000 buys per ppv event. If we look at the percentage each event was above or below that average we can definitely see a downward trend from 100. UFC 100 1,600,000 + 245% UFC 101 850,000 + 29% UFC 102 435,000 -30% UFC 103 375,000 -40% UFC 104 500,000 -20% UFC 106 375,000 -40% UFC 107 620,000 +/- 0 UFC 108 300,000 -51% UFC 109 275,000 -55% UFC 110 240,000 -62% Wow. Is the UFC in a downward spiral. But here is the other interesting thing we should look at when discussing 2009 ppv buys: Average with title on line 820,000 Average with non-title main event 370,000 Since 100 there (have) been 3 cards with title defenses (101, 104, and 107) and 6 ppv cards without titles on the line. Lesson to learn? Those belts really matter. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2010/3/11/1368101/zuffa-in-trouble-part-2-ufc-110s | |

| Yikes that is terrible. Not a bad card either. They really do need to get back to some of these big title matches. Merging with the WEC would add those belts to the mix as well and would instantly become fan favorites when people who don't normally watch see how the little guys go at it | |

| I think we also have to consider that the bad economy might have finally caught up with the ufc. I don't think thats the whole reason but it has to be playing a factor too IMO | |

| I think it will increase by GSP-Hardy. I think they lost steam with all these injuries at the beginning of the year. | |

| It's Brock shock too. Some of his draws carried on too the next few events but eventually dwindled off especially when his ailments became more well known. | |

Definitely agree with this. 101 got a huge wave of people who bought 100 but were relatively new to MMA. That's died off since then with all the injuries and no Brock

| Plus BJ Penn and Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin were on 101 as well. That's a few top draws right there. There was a lot of buzz for Silva-Griffin. I thin the Abu Dhabi card will get a big buy rate. I think GSP-Hardy will get them back in atleast the 400K range. | |

http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/12594/ which basically means this thing might have done under just under 200 thousand buys

| They will bounce back. I think they may need to consider less PPV cards and more spike cards. They may be putting on to many PPV fights nobody once to pay for a PPV within weeks of each other. | |

| Look what has happened. GSP, Anderson, and Brock haven't been able to defend their titles since June/July. It has been 7+ months of the UFC no having their drawing power. Outside of the major championship fights, the Jackson-Evans fight was as big as they come and it doesn't happen. Another big name/draw that has been out is the Iceman. So basically since 100/101 the UFC has been its 5/7 biggest draws. Its not rocket science that Rich Franklin, Wanderlei Silva, Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans coming off losing streaks in main events aren't going to draw huge numbers.
I guarantee these 200 and 300K buys will shoot up to 450 and 600+K for 111, 112, 113, 114, and 116 as long as no more major changes happen.
