| Might as well merge. Imagine they could have title fights almost every card. Or make a REAL super card. | |

| All things considered, there is no downside to a merger. WEC finds itself in a bad way if this Pay Per View show doesn't put up respectable buy rates. Bad decisions by Zuffa are there, and there will be more no doubt. But they could correct alot of them with a merger here. We, the fans, would benefit most. Imagine a card with Urijah Faber, Jose Aldo, Anderson Silva, and BJ Penn all on it. It'd be as big or bigger than 100! | |

| I know Ludo right, it'd be insane, the depth they'd have would be untouchable. Some WEC fighters would see bigger pay days as well, something they've been looking for. We'd have more cards and deeper cards, I honestly see downside. | |

| Yeah what they make in WEC is pretty pathetic compared to what they would make if they were part of UFC cards doing PPV buys at $50 a pop. Your average guy would still be making between 7-20k but guys like Faber, Aldo, Brown, Torres, Cruz, Cerone, Henderson, even Varner would all see substantial pay increases based on drawing power alone. Undercards would swell to be every bit as entertaining as the Main Cards. | |

| Urijah Faber and BJ Penn, and especially Oscar De La Hoya, Pacman and Floyd Mayweather prove that little guys can sell now too. I think contained in the UFC brand, legitimate PPV draws could be created from WEC weight classes. UFC events would be more populated with title fights, while still only having seven weight classes. We might see more of the rare two title fight PPV card. | |

| Not to mention more number one contender matches, more VERY exciting matchups, and a deeper pool of guys added to the 155 ranks. Imagine what happens if Benson Henderson and Donald Cerrone are in the UFC when BJ vacates the title and moves up to Welterweight. | |

Well, i imagine Henderson and Cerrone won't even sniff the UFC title even in the event BJ vacates. There would be some exciting fights in the middle of the pack area but those guys would be in Clay Guida territory at best IMO. I actually want Cerrone to go down to FW like he said he was going to. I think he would be a beast down there and remain relevant in the event that UFC sucks up WEC.

| Those guys are both exciting and good. Kenny Florian and Frankie Edgar are far from indestructable. Cerrone and Henderson at LW minus BJ could easily get title shots. | |

| again I don't see the big deal of the merger. We get to see all these guys fight for free now, why is it great if they make it onto a ppv? Would it be better for the fighters, sure the small # that actually make it to the main card, the other guys will actually lose exposure, and we as fans will see less of them.
And these ratings bear out my other point as to why the UFC is not in a hurry to do it, they don't draw, even on free TV, with no comp.
Plus the UFC wants to keep vs, not merge everyone onto spike and thus lose VS.

| Thats the thing though, they wouldn't lose Versus. UFC actually is expanding to Versus. They would gain exposure by a long shot as well because they would be on a bigger stage. The only two providers(that I know of) that even get Versus are Comcast and Dish Network. As far as the PPV goes they are going to be one one anyway at this point. Even if it tanks do you think thats the last time they get on one? WEC's top talent isn't the minor league anymore. They're top Lightweight, Featherweight, and Bantamweight fighters are top eschelon recognition worthy fighters(most of them anyway). | |
