| BoxingScene.com has been advised that a featherweight contest between Celestino Caballero (33-2, 23KOs) vs. Daud Yordan (25-0, 19KOs) will likely land in the co-feature slot to Andre Berto-Carlos Quintana on April 10 on HBO. Caballero-Yordan will replace the Tavoris Cloud vs. Glen Johnson contest. Cloud withdrew from the fight with a hamstring injury [Click Here To Read More on That]. Caballero-Yordan is a very good fight. Both guys can punch and I don't expect the contest to go the full twelve. If Caballero wins, he stays right in the hunt for guys like Yuriorkis Gamboa and Juan Manuel Lopez. If Yordan wins, he puts himself on the map at featherweight. Yordan looked good for the first two rounds with Robert Guerrero last March. The fight never made it to the third because during the second round a clash of heads opened up a cut above Guerrero's eye and he was unable to continue. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=25724 |
