What fighter has the best chance to overtake Fedor as the Greatest Fighter Ever?

Our votes don't rule Anderson out, I think it's his soft voice that gives no chance what so ever. But really anyone has a chance still except Brock I think, he has to late of a start to build a career profile which could trump Fedor I think. All the guys though either have a great rap sheet already or youth from which to take time to build it. GSP has the best combination of both of those right now. It's premature to have Cain on the list but he is only 27. Any of the four champs though have a case, even BJ with half of losses coming to guys in this thread is in the picture I think.

Damn Wolf that was funny! I not only went with GSP, I think he will eventually pass Silva, who in my opinion is the greatest. I have heard it from several fighters including Forrest and Randy that if you are an MMA fighter with no losses, then your doing it wrong. When they say that, they're talking about not fighting the best competition available and fighting guys who don't have a chance at beating you. Yes, technically speaking, Fedor has a loss, but not a real loss and I have questioned the level of his competition since he last fought Mirko. BTW, that was like five years ago. So for me Fedor has been passed, but he still has the opportunity to redeem himself for fighting HMC, a washed up Lindland, a chinless AA, a fat Sylvia, and a guy who had fought only one former anyone in Rogers. I think if he goes to the UFC takes out 2 or 3 of their best fighters at HW (no I do not mean Todd Duffee) then he quickly regains his place at the top of the board and assuming no losses, retains it forever.

blah blah Andrew. You could just as easily deflate all the UFC's HWs the same way if you wanted to. The division is full of young up and comers who have cut their teeth on a bunch of nobodies, journeyman who couldn't be champ when AA and Sylvia were still there, like Kongo and Gonzaga, and all of the washed up and slow HW's of yesterday like Randy, CC, Nog and so on.

Just curious, how can the answer "No one will pass Fedor" be on option for a question that reads "Who has the best CHANCE to overtake Fedor?"????

So by choosing this option you are saying no one else stands even the slightest chance of ever passing Fedor???

Once again I would love to pick BJ but I just think Anderson has the better chance at being recognized as the greatest ever at this time.

Then to the 4 of you who believe this, shame on you. How in the world can you say no one else in MMA has even the SLIGHT POSSIBILITY of overtaking Fedor? If so you have offically declared Fedor a God and your opinion on MMA should be immediately discarded. To say no one even has a chance is just beyond insane in my mind.

You are right, Wolf. But let us assume Fedor comes in to the UFC and blast Cain, Mir and Brock? Dude, you win all the arguments. I just want to see good fights. Sure I like Kenflo and Randy, but mostly I like seeing good fights. I jut don't think Fedor has been fighting the most fearsome opponents in his history and I am thinking he turned down a bunch of money..twice, to hand himself a paycheck through M-1, which may have cost him in the long run.

Wonder how this would play out now? Names would change for sure.

Well to be fair both Anderson and GSP are still in the discussion. The question is about Fedor and he is obviously still in the question. But others have fell off and at the same time Hendo and Jones have made some historic runs.

Hendo has way too many losses in his prime to be the GOAT. Fedor's were at the end of his career.

Hendo has losses in his prime, yet is owning all kinds of prime ass in his elder years.

While Fedor has done what all greats do, and fall off at old age, and subsequently retire.
