Keep pushing those crossover acts in Demolition Hammer and Morbid Saint. Razor did fall off shortly after Malicious Intent, but between that and Custom Killing there's gold in those hills. but if your looking for crossover you might want to go with Slaughter, Rigor Mortis, Sarcafago, Slaughter, Sylosis, or even Municipal Waste and or Toxic Holocaust. Go listen to some Hatchet, Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Hirax, Sacred Reich, Viking(Man of Straw album), Violator, or Whiplash and come back. You might find the genre has more than 8 bands in it.
I'm pretty sure I posted a few songs off Face of Despair in here before. Which is probably their cleanest body of work of all. I only recently found out they had the new album which is why I posted the song from it. Demolition Hammer and Morbid Saint are both awesome, but let's be honest here they barely scratch the surface.
I want to pretext this by saying listening to thrash metal for ten years has really made me understand genres are very fluid and amorphous and metal did not develop in a biologically like linear development, and bickering over specific genres for this and that band is usually ridiculous poserdom for newbies.
Having said that, whatever forum you're getting your metal education on is failing you hardcore. You're calling all kinds of shit crossover here. Morbid Saint is about as far away as it gets from "crossover" in thrash as it is pretty much purely Teutonic/Slayer based. Demo is certainly not "crossover" either. The term is usually applied to the more directly hardcore/punk bands within the greater thrash genre, but even there it is somewhat of a misnomer since speed/thrash/death/black metal from the time of Motorhead until DM and BM break off into finite movements in 89-91 is by definition all a punk/metal hybrid. A band like Sarcofago on INRI has a significant punk influence, but could just as easily be called black or death metal and is better seen as an early album in those styles. After that album they're even less punk.
I don't really know how they define shit on mainstream metal forums with all these retro thrash bands around these days but crossover should only really be applied to shit like DRI, Exploited etc and possibly for some of the NY thrash bands which were always more punk based. I tend to avoid the term for most bands that are not more punk than metal. Only a few of the bands you mentioned are truly on the "crossover" end of the spectrum.
The list is a random assortment of neo-thrash asshattery, a few good bands, and a bunch of generic shit you'll be tired of in a year or two.
Sarcofago - INRI best of what you named. Utter Satan to the face. Their other stuff is ok but not as good. INRI is all that matters and doesn't fit this list really. Overkill - really good band and I used to love most of their albums apart from the mid 90s groovier stuff(typical of the shitty "post thrash" sort of style) Nuclear Assault's first two are pretty 666 Rigor Mortis had their logo snuck into Doogie Houser's opening, and weird ass production that didn't fit their style. I don't like them as much as I "should". A lot of metal fans I respect dig them a lot but it never clicked with me. Slaughter if its the Canadian one I know was more important evolutionary wise than they were actually musically. Strapado is pretty cool but even in terms of mid 80s proto DM its ranked near the bottom of the list. Sacred Reich first album is ok. Nothing spectacular. Whiplash can fuck off. Hirax fuck off. Viking is garbage. Kiddie thrash. Fuck off.
the rest of that stuff seriously lol. I gotta be honest though, I was kinda into some of the whole retrothrash thing at first. I don't know what any of their shit sounds like past 2006 but Violator at least had legit sounding tape based production while TH was playing old school styles on modern digital eq and making it artificially low fi, which is utter heresy.
I'm guessing you like Carnal Forge, the Haunted, The Crown, Death Angel and Testament don't you? Actually I bet if I named any "thrash" band you probably like it based on this list...
Admittedly, I am much more geared toward Death Metal, but with thrash and 80s extreme metal, stick with the classics. To name a few Slayer Dark Angel Exodus(Bonded only) Metallica and dispute if you want, about every band you named is 60% or more Metallica clone. Sepultura Possessed Venom Celtic Frost Kreator Agent Steel Overkill Morbid Saint

Actually thats my favorite violator junt, Ill listen to all that shit and tell you what I think, but generally I am not into that new wave of thrash at all.
Impiety is more of a war metal band but they got a new album that you may like. Their albums have ranged the full black-death metal spectrum but their best ones are war metal type death/black. If you like bullet-belt retro maybe this is for you.
^^^old Impiety when they were more of a black-thrash band. If you don't like this and you like that other shit get out of metal. Toxic Holocaust wishes they recorded this album. 666
The only thing cool going on in metal on a large scale is the new wave of Blasphemous Death Metal. If you like shit like Immolation, Incantation prepare to die.
In my opinion Necros Christos is a front runner for best band of the last ten years.
new album
First album
Cruciamentum is highly recommended.
Lie in Ruins is another favorite in the modern style
Then there is other cool shit more directly Incantation based like -
I gots plenty more where that came from if you like any of this. The scene is pretty vibrant these days. Tell me what you think

Guillotine was the coolest of all those by far. Violator, and Fueled are ok. If I ever get into a mood where im hella listening to those generic 80s bands that were mostly clones I could see me listening to the generic 2000s clones of the late 80s clones.
Typically though I'm very intolerant of less than original extreme metal unless it is purely kill IE Morbid Saint.
The new shit I linked, while over all much of it is heavily indebted to Incantation, is still in a style formulated by just one band, and this movement is trying to continue to evolve metal, where as these retro bands are just trying to relive an ideal. Its cool though, better than the retro thrash that used to be out there. Bands have really been able to figure out how to reproduce the 80s feel and sound more accurately, and that has helped all kinds of genres.

I'm a little late to the party with this one, but considering Wings of Marie, 10,000 Days, and Vigniti Tres are tracks that undewhelmed me on their own off 10,000 Days. It's a trip that you can play them at the same time and have a pretty badass song...can't believe i went this long without even hearing about that.

Recently purchased the new Dr John album. collaboration with Dan Auerbach of the black keys.
Never thought of buying a Dr John album b4, but I love the black keys.
And I love this album. Listened to it for 4 straight hours the other day. Then listened to it some more since.
