| Does Affliction try to find a replacement or does he get cut from the card? | |

| Matt Lindland? Probably not enough time to get into shape though. Just a thought. | |

| "What happens to Santiago now?"
First he breathes a huge sigh of relief... Then he goes back to fighting mid level non-UFC fights inflating his record and ranking...

Pft, he's one of ATT's best and he was going to fucking maul Vitor front runner Belfort. Santiago is the best non-UFC MW and has been for like two years imo. better than Shields/Lawler/Belfort or anyone still at MW. With wins over Logan Clark (3-1 UFC/WEC) Masaki(Pride GP champion and perennial top ten caliber middleweight), Nakamura at his natural weight(quality UFC and Pride veteran, landed more punches on Machida than anyone else in the UFC has) Andrei Semenov(probably the most successful MW fighter in the world) Trevor Prangley(20-5 record, lots of quality wins) and Jeremy Horn in his recent past, to say he hasn't faced UFC level competition is stupid as fuck my man. Sure, some of these guys lost UFC fights, but besides Machida and Spider, who hasn't? As if Ed Herman, Alan Belcher, Jason Macdonald, Chris Leben, Kendall Grove, Jorge Rivera or Joe Doerkson or any number of other recent UFC MW fighters would represent a significant step up in competiton, if they would represent one at all.

| Now a Santiago-Lawler fight would be great. I give Robbie an edge though. | |

Robbie would get smashed. You have got to be kidding me. What has Jorge shown besides a good war with Misaki. This is the same guy who got booted from the UFC after Leben & Belcher torn him up. At least when Robbie got out he fought decent guys like Ninja, Villasenor, Mayhem,Trigg and won most of them.

Bah, he beats a bunch of cans and Misaki after going 1-2 in the UFC and we're supposed to buy in? He's talented, but he isn't near top-5 where he's constantly discussed. Filho, Lawler and Lombard are all as good or better outside the UFC. And Belfort would have PROVEN he's much better...

| Read my post a few up. This dude is not the same fighter who had that bad UFC stretch.
Forgive me if I am wrong but wasn't Vitor booted out of Strikeforce, Pride and the UFC when he won 2 of 7 fights? Tell me friends, what does a win over glass jaw Terry Martin and an instant KO over an old Law have on Santiago's record in the last two years? Vitor's only other wins since his terrible losing streak were over significantly less quality competition than all the names Santiago has taken.
Vitor had more to prove than Santiago in that fight by far. Outside of Mike Brown and maybe Thiago Alves he is probably ATT's best fighter.
Santiago is ranked higher than Vitor for a reason.

| A bunch of cans?
I don't call fighters I don't know cans. I just don't offer opinions if I know not of what I speak. Logan Clark, Trevor, Jeremy Horn, Misaki, Nakamura etc are no cans. Silliness.

Santiago is ranked higher than Vitor for a reason. Are you forgetting who those losses were against?... Couture, Tito, Hendo and Overeem in their primes. A bit more impressive than losing to Leben and Belcher, don't you think? And he looks like the same bad ass fighter now as he was back then. He found that passion again, IMO. I was really looking forward to this fight... Moreso than the main event!

I don't think it would be a blatant owning....I had Vitor winning but I think it wouldve been a hell of a fight.

| Belfort is a front runner. I am not and will never be high on him. Unless he is dominating a fight, he folds. | |
